A few years ago there were bit 8 audit companies.
But now there are 4, because the others got caught doing things that are seriously unethical, illegal, or incompetent. I predict that in a few years there will be only 1 or 2 then one will buy out the other, and then there will only be 1.
As to becoming a partner in one of these firms, it is not something you can buy with money. You get there by getting a job at one of them, working your tail off, and demonstrating to management that you are a smart cookie, in which it would be an asset to the company by making you a partner.
