I want support spicing up my monthly Safety Meeting..?
Every month we have this ridiculously long and boring Safety debate. I made the mistake of telling my boss that the meeting need a bit of spicing up.. so he have now tasked me beside conducting February's meeting.. UGH! I obligation help!The congregation usually lasts an hour or more and near about 25 empire that are required to attend. (ages 25-50)
The Topic for the month is "Let's Cut out Injury"
Any ideas on how to present the Safety Topic or do you know of a fun rime breaker game?
Answers: enjoy this in our company too...little games that spread some facts are other nice...family grudge type set up is what we used alot...keep those moving...walk around your store or building and explain issue where on earth they happen...enjoy someone demonstrat...hand out prices...
especially when they are contained by the morning the meetings turn into a yawn party...keep associates somewhat enetertained without making too much fun of a serious issue...
also contract out some stuff.find the funny guy in your group...provide him a task or spectator sport.get the nation that are liked the most and are outgoing on your side and it usually go alot better..
tell your boss to dispense you a little budget.sure he can see that the benefits of a fruitful safekeeping meeting outweigh any financial concerns.especially considering that an coincidence in the building would cost the company more than 2 boxes of doughnuts and some little prizes
It it be me I would print off imagery from the Internet that coincide with the mixed 'points' outlined in your consultation guideline.
What you can do is print off a picture of a specific injury and shroud it above a 'solution' for taking a preventative measure surrounded by avoiding it.
Pass out one picture to each entity and simply allow them to go through the room and show the picture, ask for solutions and later read off the solution. That get everyone involved and it still gets the point across.
Oh, I get! Our safety meeting were boring too! Sometimes they would ask us question and if we got the answer right we would find a bite size snickers bar! That be the highlight of the discussion. I can't think of anything except that...
Maybe you could take a paddock trip around the facility and identify areas where safekeeping could be improved. I know it's not too exciting, but I tried! Good luck (and be safe and sound, lol)
I would recommend start your safety meeting after 2pm and stick to your planned agenda. Most people when they are face with jamboree rolling on later will afterwards stick to the facts and follow agenda. The real truth is contained by your selling of the agenda.
Try starting your next congress with a more direct head of the ship approach with you within control this once again should speed things up as safety round-table are not supposed to be fun but about existing life condition and safety issues. Its not a trianing event its a certainty producing excercise
