Am i wrong?
a company memo come out in stating that they be going to be strict with punctuality. not a soul in my department remunerated any attention to it, as my boss has other said that she doesn't care if we are in arrears (not excessively) as long as we make up our time so that we enjoy 40 hours per week. she never said anything different than that and it's something she says regularly. so we went on our merry method of being occassionally unpunctually (5-10 minutes) until last week when she said that we have need of to start watching our time. no one have been overdue since. well, today 4 out of 7 of us get written up for tardies. this pisses me off for two reason: 1) the write up came from human resources, not my boss. my boss wouldn't write us up. 2) it be always as if those rules didn't apply to us. should they be capable of write us up when the rules of my boss contradicted company policy? am i right to be mad, or should i purely suck it up and drop it? now, if i'm unpaid 4 times in a 365-day interval, i'm fired. what do i do?Answers: well its company policy so i guess that you hold to go beside it... but you have a right to be angry because your boss is simply the one that got you contained by trouble. if she had told adjectives of you that the company may be keeping a close eye towards punctuality which should be part of HER situation then I don`t know this wouldnt be such a big deal. but again you do enjoy a right to be upset.
simple answer ?
Do NOT be late.
things changed so rework with it or receive an other job.:-)
donate 15minutes earlier than u used to. YOU will not be unpunctually.
ur boss is under the company rules - she is wrong and may acquire terminated if she does not follow the rules.
Personally i would stop being unpaid. Company policy should be followed. You could speak to your boss and ask if she would explain to hr her 'rules' but how did HR know you were unpunctually? ? i would go by the rules and save quiet. or look for another position.
UK: How do you (or the company you work for) work out an hourly rate for salaried people's overtime?
Also, should the hourly rate be based on 52 weeks contained by a year or weeks worked (i.e. excluding holiday).e.g. (37 hr week)
Should it be
Annual Salary divided by 48 weeks divided by 37 hrs OR
Annual Salary divided by 52 weeks divided by 37 hrs ?
Answers: YOU TAKE THE ANNUAL SALARY DIVIDED BY 52
THEN DIVIDED BY 37 TO GET HOURLY RATE.
Overtime?
What's that?
Do you mean that nearby are still people out nearby who get remunerated extra for staying behind and completeing the position they're supposed to be doing in the first place?
I thought that be well over and done near.
Does anyone nowadays still find paid an hourly rate?. I would enjoy thught not as there's no such thing anymore as a 9-5 opening you have to do the duty you're paid for no concern how long it takes.
I dont know as I am argentinian...I will check how is it ... :)
