Payroll overpayment interrogate?
My husband has not long been informed by his former employer that he be overpaid 9 months ago when he left the opening.He put in his two weeks at his living and they immediately consent to him go, which is run of the mill in his strip of work. After he left he received one paycheck for time worked, one paycheck for what we thought be for the two weeks he was not compensated because they let him turn, and a bonus check with regular salary which we knew be a mistake.
The third paycheck with bonus be withdrawn from our account. He have been contained by his new position for 9 months. This week he be notified by his previous employer that the 2nd paycheck be a mistake and they want the money back contained by one week or they will pursue legal achievement.
We of course don't hold that much money as we are struggling to make it as is, we are of a mind to work with them if the money be not truly owed to us, we are still working with our accounts and their to verify.
My question is can they help yourself to legal commotion so quickly?

call an atty - I don`t know even a bankruptcy atty - because they usually present free consults!! in a style this is a debt that needs to be repaid - but first you enjoy to determine if you owe it. personally i give attention to its their mistake and they should bite it but legally i'm not sure how it works -
