Word 2007 works much the same as Word 2003, except that the layout of the Tool bar and menus is different. At first, it was difficult to find the functions I always used in W2003, after some time using it, it becomes more natural. Although, I still struggle with some things.
You will find that the similarities between Office products is improved, and uses this new look. One thing that really threw me was the Button in the upper right, a circle with shadow, and 4 color squares like a butterfly (the MS Symbol), is actually where you find 'Save As', the 'recently used file list', and many other features you use to use.
I had to use the help when starting.
Some nice features are when you select some text to modify the font, then hover over the font list, it actually displays in the document as if you had selected it. It gives you a preview.
You will find all the old features (that I know of), and more. It takes some getting use to, but be persistent, it is really better after the pain of relearning where everything is.
