Is it possible to divide Yield to old age manually (pencil and paper)?
Hello,I'm having trouble manually solving for relinquish to maturity contained by the bond valuation formula:
market price of bond = Coupon/r(1-1(1+r)^t) + Face value/(1+r)^t
where on earth r = ytd (yield to maturity)
is it possible to solve for r on paper?

Answers: You might have to try bracketing - Take your best guess as to the worth of r, then run the math again and again next to values a little sophisticated or lower until you get close.
