Any guesses as to how much it'd cost to have a locksmith come and overt the safety payment box at a bank? My parents lost the knob and the bank doesn't hold a spare key to the financial guarantee box, it has my birth tag and social security card contained by it. :-\Answers: A REAL Locksmith can and will be allowed to do a bank box. They hold to have their license and insurance surrounded by order to do anything similar to that. We have done these and charge 150. The hill will charge you for the replacement of the lock.

The bank will hire a locksmith and charge you. It's usually expensive, though.

Answers: If I had debt, pay that first. Other than that - save it. A grand is not that much money unless you are a kid. Assuming you area kid with no financial obligations, spend a third on some things you want and save the rest.
