Why are recycled envelopes so much more expensive than non-recycled?
I am trying to source recycled envelopes for the office but it seem they are, on average, at least twice as expensive as the non-recycled ones.There is not this much disparity between recycled and non-recycled composition, so does anyone know the reason?
Answers: Beause its costs more to produce from the pulp.
Its not great for the envirnoment anyway as it requires more dash to produce and they use bleach to make it whiter. Fact is recycled newspaper is worst overall for the environment.
It's simple. Recycled paper cost more than "first generation" (for insufficiency of a better term) because of the process in which it take to manufacture it. Something similar to this: 1) tree, cut, mulch, additives, press = paper OR 2) used dissertation, collected, sorted, washed, bleeched, wash again, dried, mulch, additives, press = paper. It's the process contained by which it takes to create it. I don't feel the examples regarding the process are exact but I do reflect on they can give you an concept.
