National debt and money?

I know the United States is deep surrounded by debt. I also know that the US can't create money to just settle off the debt. But why not? It seem logical- create a couple extra trillion dollars and pay past its sell-by date the debt. What are the complications that prevent it from happening?

Answers: Inflation. Pumping that much money within where it have no value, would devalue monies already within circulation. Inflation makes everyone poorer, especially those earn fixed income (yes, including investors in US debt). Basically, you bring to a close up with poorer frail folks, poorer investors, bankrupt bank, and international investors who would never lend to the US again.

About $2B in wherewithal comes to the US daily, mostly to buy administration and agency debt. If that money stopped floating and we run trade deficits as we do, we'd be contained by a serious financial problem. No money to lend to people to buy homes, cars, etc; and none for the gov't to save the lights on.

An example of how this does not work, is a study of Hungary and Germany, post WW I, and Brazil in the 80s.

How do you measure success? Is it tangible or intangible? somebody give me some input please.?

Answers: I would measure success as getting yourself to a place where you are earning enough to support yourself and should you desire one, a family while in a line of work that you gain enough satisfaction from to know that though your income may not be astronomical, you will be able to stay at it for a long time - thus providing sustainable income and a sense of contribution, creative/ intellectual outlet etc (whatever drives you).
I think you have to ask old people that question.
My guess is that money is good but how your children end up is the real sign of how you did.
Success is measured in how much time you have on
"your hands" spending the wealth that you have created.
As the words on the page dictate, it is tangible and
intangible at the same time. If it were up to me to choose,
I would take time. "Too soon the bone yard".
Success can be both tangible and intangible. Tangible=how well one has done financially in providing for his family, in educating his children, in providing recreation opportunities, in providing for travel to Europe, North Africa, The British Isles, Hawaii, Canada , Mexico, cruises to the Carribean. The intangibles: How you respect yourself, How you respect your wife, how you respect your fellow man, How one listens, how one enjoys the simpler things in life, how you look foward to tomorrow with anticipation, how you like what you are doing, even answering YA
