Whats overtime recompense?

1) Is overtime working over 40 hours a week. Or is it simply working over 8 hours a day regardless if this is your full-time mission or part-time opportunity.

2) What if you have a leisure job and you work 4 hours respectively day, 5 times a week, thats 20 hours a week. But sometime you had to work 10 hours. Do you bring overtime for that day?

Answers: All answerers are correct, and adjectives other are wrong too.

In the US, federal law states that overtime have to be paid for any hours over 40 weekly for NON-EXEMPT (hourly) workers. No overtime has to be rewarded for exempt (salaried) employees. Here are the links to the Department of Labor's website concerning overtime wages.

However the law vary from state to state and there are a handful of states that require overtime to be compensated for hourly employees that work more than 8 hours within the day. Most do not.

Here is a knit to a chart that shows the specific laws for respectively state. Enjoy

When you are an hourly employee, overtime is achieve by working more than 8 hours in a afternoon or over 40 hours per week. Most employers payment 1.5 times your current hourly rate at time.

You will get over time for the 2 further hours for your 10hour day. Check state tenet. I know in Wisconsin employer are required to pay OT to anyone over 8 hours.
1) Overtime is anything over 40 hours surrounded by one week.

2) No. You don't get overtime until you progress over 40 hours. If you worked 4 hours for 5 days, that's 20 hours. Add another 10 hour day, to be precise only 30 hours for the week. So, no overtime.
Depends on the company. Most places clear OT after 40 hours are worked (or budgeted hours) At my job, if you are a grouping employee who works 30 hr per week hand, you will get OT after 30 hrs, If you are a 37.5 hr/wk you will draw from it after the 37.5. and some of us get OT after our full hrs for the foot period are done ..75 hrs afterwards OT will be paid, or simply further hrs which sucks because it's not time and a half it's remunerated at regular rate.

Some places pay you OT on a on a daily basis basis, I find this to be more for job like IT engineers.

As per slice timer I believe you would have to work over 40 hours within order to receive OT.
OVERTIME Pay is over 8 hours surrounded by a day or over 40 hours within a week. Some of the responses have be incorrect. If you work only sometime a week and you work over 8 hours you should be paid overtime. Does that dip who said you hold to get over 40 hours within a week or you don't get overtime suggest that if someone works 23 hours in sooner or later that they will just grasp regular pay!? If i.e. the case you entail to A) report you employer and B) find a new livelihood . Overtime laws be created to secure even-handed labor practices in the US.

If you G00GLE "Silent partnership form" or "Limited partnership form", you'll see that there are different forms for different states, and various sites are charging like $25.

Please specify what you want, gratitude.
Who needs those? They stink, they stick folks in horrible service. These are newly my opinions and I do not know you, but I so dislike contracts. It's close to selling you soul to Satan.
