Swift verbs: give somebody the third degree for the bankers?
Hi,About 2 months ago, I made a money transfer from a UK guard (RBS) to an egyptian bank (NSGB). The money never arrived on the description.
According to RBS, the money was transfered to NSGB through a correspondant edge (SOGEUS). They sent me the references (they give the name them chips).
However, the NSGB say they cannot trace the verbs with these and can single do it with the 'swift code copy' or 'swift verbs copy'. (actually, they won't even try).
RBS doesn't hear me when I ask them for that.
My questions are: 1. What is the swift copy and what does it look similar to?
2. Do I have the right to ask RBS for it?
3. Does it exist if the money have been 'lost' or misplaced?
4. any other information will be outstandingly appreciated to help me get the bank system and what happen.

As far as I figure out it Swift is a specific computer system/protocol for electronic money transfer. You must inform RBS of the problem and they would clearly have their Swift code available.
The problem may be near the intermediate bank, but since you contracted beside RBS it is their responsibility.
It is the sending bank's responsibility for this transfer. -Until it arrives at it's final destination. What you necessitate to do is have RBS trace this verbs. Also request a copy of the outgoing swift MT 103 to its corresponding bank. It will enjoy an OSN Number -which means Outgoing Swift Number.
If this take too long for RBS to do, then you necessitate to recall the funds and find some other process to pay the beneficiary.
