What is your biggest technology issue or problem?

I have a two chunk question roughly what peoples biggest technical problems are beside technology and how they solve them. What is hard to set up and operate? What is unyielding to figure out or install? What problems do you come across everyday at home or at work that present you beside the biggest problems AND how do you go in the region of fixing them or figuring them out.


Answers: Technology is proving to be a problem in it self- in that I hold 4 power outlets in my lounge room - My daughter have one in her bedroom- combined we own 48 different power plugs going into an array of powerboards all connected to the extremely few power outlets- Every day some topical gadget is released or updated and with it comes a alien power socket ot recharger module-

We are replacing new item purchased solely 6 months ago with the much loathed "Combo units" in recent times to ensure connectivity remians safe and effective-

30 years ago - a light a T.V and perhaps a diary player was suffice and to which power outlets suited the application capably - Today! its a night mare-

Even producers deficit insight on this issue- I have contained by one instance a 4 plug power board connected to another power board - The 4 plug power board allowes me to only fit two bulky immense rechargers on it- producers design these great sleek looking gagets but have thoroughly little insight to such matters as stated-when it comes to the design of the power recharger-

If I hold a DVD and a HD box next to my T.V consequently would it not be nice to simply draw power from the T.V directly to these devices instead of trying to plug each item into a in a minute scare to find power socket..? One power point to the T.V and special outlest from the T.V could service T.V type of devices-

Now apply like ideal to adjectives types of associated devices- One cell phone Cradle applying outlets to a few other cell phones..etc..etc..

A universally uniform power application needs to be put forth base on a pre set of electrical voltage values- The office commerical environment is usually sufficient, hence the issue is specifically for home use applications-

Producers have need of to make everything 12 volts- they entail to make a uniform Charging application surrounded by where one or a few chargers is competent to charge all "Same type"appliances - besides making the application more power point friendly- Carbon excretion would also be reduced- Those power pack heat up - I can't be in motion around everynight and shut down 48 different appliances..?I really have to estimate twice now until that time I buy any new devices-I know the issue does not in recent times effect me- others I know are in equal boat- to many trial devices too may updates and upgrades...and every little power points to safely and effectlively connects such devices too- next to the ever growing ugly verbs of cables and wires ever growing-Computer are the worsts offenders-

Anyone living within a house made 20 years back suffer from matching issues if such are attempting to stay abreast of technological advances-

Where can I get reliable current info on what different groups of people are buying?




Answers: Look for studies done by Universities, those are usually reliable.

Company phone bill?

My employer has sent me a bill for 7 months of mobile (cell) phone use, they own asked me to pay for adjectives calls over 10 minutes by highlighting adjectives these calls over 10 minutes.

There are loads of call, which were 20-30 minutes and some are over an hour. All the call were to work colleagues! Or customers.

I wasn't expecting this bill and I don't know around any company policy I have agreed to. Can they spawn me pay this bill?

A colleague (with a different manager) have had his bill totalled up to lb101 cheap considering it's 7 months worth, but all the call were business call to colleagues.

What do you think? Should we only pay up or make clear to them where to stick their bills?


Answers: Can you not cross hint the disputed numbers and prove they are to customers, with todays automated exchanges you can hang around 4 or 5 minutes to be connected to the person you want.
Before making this sort of decree they should have forewarned you of the investigational policy.
At a place I worked if you had a large month they had you surrounded by the office and "asked" you to cut back your call length, but even that tight a** never demanded give back.
Fair enough if it's personal call, but paying for business calls seem harsh. Maybe you could check it put next to your HR department and see if you can appeal this?

Where I work they cap the phone bills and once you own reached your confine you cannot make call, kind of annoying for the associates who talk too much but at lowest possible no one ends up next to a huge bill.
And when they send you the bill for the department chair you've be sitting in you'll probably say-so "oh, do I really have to remuneration?".

In short, your calls to colleagues and customers are entirely a business cost - you are not expected to retribution for business costs. If it was your land-line at work would you clear that? Of course not, so why pay only because it is a Mobile bill? If these calls are to non-business related individuals then you are liable - otherwise detail them to sue you for it! They wouldn't get thoroughly far.
