Petrol Prices Rip Off?

See what you think and intervene it on if you agree with it We are hitting lb106.9 a litre within some areas now, soon we will be face with paying lb1.10 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this biddable idea:

This make MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain year campaign that be going around last April or May! The grease companies just laugh at that because they knew we wouldn't verbs to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It be more of

>an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever

thought of this hypothesis, has come up next to a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join within!

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nation have conditioned us to

ponder that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to appropriate a ggressive

action to school them that BUYERS control the market place not seller.

With the price of petrol going up more each hours of daylight, we consumers need to

nick action. The merely way we are going to see the price of petrol come

down is if we hit someone within the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol!

And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two

biggest grease companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will lean to reduce

their prices. If they downsize their prices, the other companies will

have to follow suit. But to own an impact we need to get literally

millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's

really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll

explain how simple it is to arrive at millions of people!!

I am sending this entry to a lot of empire. If each of you dispatch it to

at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 distribute it to at

least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the

message reach the sixth generation of population, we will have reach

over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and

slip away this on to ten friends each, next 30 million people will hold

been contacted! If it go one level further, you guessed it... ..

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!

Again, adjectives You have to do is convey this to 10 people. That's adjectives.(and

not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that pinch? If each of us sends

this email out to ten more relatives within sooner or later of receipt, adjectives 300

MILLION people could conceivably be contacted inside the next 8days!

Acting together we can receive a difference If this makes sense to you,

please outdo this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE

RANGE

It's easy to receive this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your

petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e.

boycott BP and Esso

Answers: I bring mine at Tesco anyway
And where do you reason the supermarkets get their petrol? We obligation the stuff, the oil companies own got it. The merely weapon we have against the grease companies is to use less of the stuff.

When I widely read to drive in the 1960s, petrol be seven shillings (35p) a gallon. Adjusted for inflation, thats 7 pounds a gallon or around lb1.50 a litre. The stuff's never been cheaper surrounded by real vocabulary. Now stop whinging and get a enthusiasm.
Oh dear, someone hasn't thought this through.

(a) petrol stations are owned by private small companies ( not petrol companies ) who make 5p per litre and enjoy no control over the TAX which makes fuel prices so big

(b) actual petrol costs is about 20% of the pump price, the rest is TAX

(c) Esso and BP put together less than 5% of thier profit from retail fuels, it wouldn't dent them at adjectives.

So, your plan will do nothing save for put small retail petrol station owners out of business.

why aim for 69p / litre ? The government take more tax than that,

To be honest, i feel we can pretty much gurantee this "idea" was written by a child.

People call for to either stop moaning in the order of the price of petrol or show that it really hurts them. While we all verbs to drive hundreds of miles every saturday just to browse the clothes shops at bluewater the goverment will know that its not really hurting us and we are only moaning

Shell have lately announced the largest profits ever recorded by a UK company, BP hold just announced a drop surrounded by profits of 20%. Picking on BP has no logic

If you really are bothered give or take a few the price of petrol, buy a 1 litre car, drive smoothly and slowly and with the sole purpose for essential journeys.

EDIT: Thanks for the insult, thats a really matured way to go and get people to blend your ideas.

I distinguish you just chose to insult me, to some extent than comment on the contents of my answers. Maybe thats because you have no reply, are my logical comments too close by the truth ?

When i dont' agree with you, it process I DONT AGREE WITH YOU, it doesn't mean i own no backbone

As I mentioned earlier, this plan looks similar to it was written by a child. It be certainly written by someone who doesn't get the drift how the petrol and oil industries work.

Out of the 4 answers you've recieved so far, not a soul has said "wow, thats a great idea". Does that put in the picture you something ?

Just because petrol is expensive does not mean we are person ripped off. I CHOOSE to use my vehicle, I CHOOSE to put petrol in it. I suspect you do to, including for journey you don't need to product.

If you CHOOSE to be ripped off, whos the physical idiot ?

rather than insult me, why not try to comment on my A,B and C points above.if you can
