American gallons are smaller than UK gallons, but even allowing for that within is a massive difference. Any US politician who tried to charge UK levels of export tax on fuel would not last five minutes.

It's because the government have imposed such a high duty on fuel , and theyre not gonna lower it the greedy gits.Ever notice how diesel used to be alot lower in price than petrol ?? ... look at the difference very soon.
I think the command ( those lovely souls who work for our best interests! ) NOT ! , should fluctuate the tax on fuel to work against the price increases that inevitibley occur , afterall as fuel go up everything else sees price increases too.
This too will never start , let alone them donate us a little stern by lowering the duty regardless. Our government positively BLOWS bigtime , and yet the yank moan about THEIR fuel prices.

i ordered a pram and it was intended to be here today as time is getting on im wondering what time they finish at. i do not know what courier it is.Answers: Ask the company you bought it from who they use. If they don't know then you singular need to phone 2 or three courier companies to ask them what time they stop deliver. Chances are it's one of the bigger firms like BusinessPost, DHL, Citylink or Parcelforce/Royal Mail. Better to contact the folks you bought it from I think. I've never have such a thing deliver after the early afternoon.
