Did your employer ask for a copy of your transcript from your college/university or a moment ago your gpa?

I was simply asked what my gpa was, but my boss never asked for a copy of my transcript.

I a short time ago wanted to know how adjectives it was for employer to ask for college transcripts. Did they ask you for a transcript or ask if they can request one from your college? In what case would they request one?

Thanks!

Answers: I work for a public company (commercial bank) and I be never required to submit a transcript. I just identified my childhood experience on the resume and note, I didn't identify my GPA on the resume since it wasn't above 3.2. I did let somebody know them it was a 3.0 average during the interview though.

They did ask going on for my background and I explained my coursework to them. They needed to know if I had taken accounting classes. I told them I have taken two but it was not fresh contained by my memory.

End result: I was still hired.
Don't know if they even looked at it, but I did own to submit my transcript. This was requested several months into my employment; they said they needed it to complete my directory. I have copies available so it be no problem.

For the most part, companies request a copy of the transcript because it is an natural way for them to verify that you did contained by fact attend college, and receive the grade/major stated on your application. Otherwise, they own to call or place a written request for endorsement, and it takes more time and try on their part. Of course, if near is any discrepancy on the transcript they still can verify it with the college independently of your submission.
Hmm.

Two reason why the employer would have asked your GPA.

1. The employer is seeking importantly educated individuals who are smart, responsible, qualified, etc to unite there squad.

2. The interviewer (your boss) is an A$%*. Loves digrading women and a "low" GPA can be used as an excuse to hire or promote someone else who is more "qualified". Did you get this caring of vibe or other similar questions from your interviewer or boss?

Anyways, considering that this is potential great atmostphere to work at, afterwards yes, you might be required to show a copy of your transcript to show your qualifications for the undertaking. Remind them, if you have something to squirrel away, then let hope that they forget about it and hold it to yourself.
Mostly just GPA. My transcript lone if the job be related to my major. Sometimes its easier newly to hand it to them since I can't remember my courses rotten hand. I also give attention to that when you say you've taken courses doesn't enjoy much affect as letting them see in print that you've taken it and score high. It purely seems to label the interview more memorable for them. For example when you come home from school and your parents are more excited when they open an envelope w/ Honor Roll written all over it than if you own just told them. Or perchance that's just my mom lol!
