How would i travel around evicting a roomate?

Is she even down as a tenant?
Does she pay you, after you pay the rent - or are you both suppose to reward 1/2 to the landlord?

Well you can't evict her, only the manager can. If both of you are on the lease, which i'm going to assume since its 3 years. Your only recourse is to lug her to small claims court to get her to wage her half of rent.

Answers: It means that ownership is separated from control. In a company, there can be numerous shareholders. You can't have them all in the office running the day to day business, that's why the shareholders appoint a few directors to run the business. These directors may or may not be shareholders. Once they have appointed the directors, the directors control the operations of the company. They can sign contracts and enter into agreements which are binding on the company. Shareholders can't.
However in mom and pop companies, there may be only 2 shareholders and they are also the 2 directors. In this case, there is no separation of ownership and control.
