My job offer a bonus at the end of the year, it is base 80% on your performance, attendance, length of service etc... the other 20% is base on the amount of time an employee volunteers for our not for profit consortium. That's issue #1Issue #2 is that we are doing an event in February, I needed to volunteer during the day setting up getting things organized etc... but since I work in Finance, my boss "expects me to volunteer" from 9:00pm to 11:30 pm doing monetary stuff- I do not want to do it, I am not competent to drive at night, and am usually within bed by 10:00-
Will it look bad if I influence I can only do the hours of daylight time shift?? It is on my Saturday/day off-
Can they "ding" me in my "work" show review for not volunteering- this has disappeared such a bitter taste surrounded by my mouth I feel close to I don't even want to volunteer.

Answers: If you are a sallaried hand then you enjoy no set hours. They can work you as long as you want. You know up front that this company values volunteering. They value it so much that it is sector of your review.
So, I think that they can do this. You simply need to know that this is what they are adjectives about. You are any on board beside it or you are not. If it's not something you are into, you need to look for another company or frontage mediocre reviews.
Yes it can effect your review. But I would venture that the "raise" is not worth the aggravation. I own learned from experience that I with the sole purpose do the extra effort when a outstandingly visible and critical stir if happening. Employers expectation of you increase from the show of the previous year. If you establish the bar too soaring in the birth, it is expected for the following year. Your free time is too valuable, soak up the time and accept the lower raise with the knowledge that you are much happier.
