How important is leadership for sales managers?
Answers: The two are synonymous - you have to be a leader in order to manage.
Assuming you have direct reports it is mission critical to you.
According to popular management theory, the job of the manager it to build the team and set the direction. To try this without leadership skills sounds like a recipe for failure to me. Get hold of anything written by John P Kotter or Peter Drucker and devour it. Many of the One Minute Manager series by Ken Blanchard might be helpful as well. If you had to ask the question you need some help here before you burn your team and lose their trust forever.
Sorry to be so blunt but this really is critical to your role.
Good Luck, Jackson.
Making profit from a charity, is it wrong?
Buying items such as CDs and Books from a charity you work at and then selling them at a difficult price or near full price to sort profit.Answers: Most charity shop workers work on a voluntary basis, thereby 'donating' your own time to the charitable motivation.
As you work at the charity shop, some may question your nouns unless you also donate a little of your profits rear legs to the charity, however no one should condem you for in actuality making a profit, as this is your own time and effort explicitly achieving it.
You may set out yourself open to criticism if you also set the price for the produce in the shop surrounded by the first place, but if you are paying the proper 'going rate' and not selecting out the devout stuff for your own sideline, then adjectives is well.
If 'Joe Public' could do it consequently why can't you if it is above board? It's called man entreprenurial!
Hi
in principle no -
The with the sole purpose thing specifically 'morally wrong' is if you don't pay full price - i.e. you own some sort of discount.
Using a discount for personal purchases is one thing but on items you intend to put up for sale is reducing the income for the charity.
Can someone please explain the northern rock/ subprime twaddle to me?
As far as i'm aware the northern rock crisis is a problem relating to liquidity rather than a fundamental problem near the business. If this is the case, why should it be politically controversial for the management to lend the bank money that its allmost faultless it will recieve back? Has northern rock be grossly missmanaged? if so, in what passageway?Regarding the sub prime crisis, i find it hard to make out how mortgage lenders could have made the massive losses that are anyone quoted - subprime tainted financial products self written down to zero? Were mortgage lenders giving 100% mortgages on properties near 0 intrinsic value? If so, why - except how are they making these massive losses.
Finally if subprime mortgages really are worth zero in a minute, how do i go nearly aquiring them? I personally believe that within actual value might be somewhat superior...
Answers: It's all to do near the slump in property prices surrounded by the US. Lenders are losing money when they foreclose.
'Subprime' is the industry term for home loans given to those near chequered or poor credit histories, unable to find a common lender.
Borrowers will pay a premium on rates to parallel their higher risk.
Northern Rock be exposed to subprime loans through bad practices, the pro of NR mortgages overall will be sound.
subprime is the borrower not the property
prime is ethnic group with a moral credit rating
subprime is people next to a bad credit rating for this reason they pay a complex rate because they are a higher risk. N/Rock borrowed to cause these loans at a higher rate and when intrest rates go up and the people could not salary they got caught beside their pants down the associates they borrowed off required their money from N/R and they did not have the money to foot case of the greedy getting greedier!
