There are several places you can get a loan without going to a commercial bank. You can try a credit union which have real low interest rates for loans. But all credit unions require you to be a member of a certain association. Finance companies also give loans. But those you defenitly need to avoid. They charge ridicoulsy amount interest on your loan. But usually you go to one when your desperate or have really bad credit.
