How much is Postage for this?

My sister has to distribute something in a manilla envelope (the envelope is give or take a few the size of a whole piece of regular feint paper) . how much is postage?

* She will be putting a few papers in in that, maybe four or five...zilch else...

Answers: To help ensure it arrives in good time, I'd strongly suggest you go to the post organization and have them explain to you the price. Since postage rates have gone up, the size of the envelope also determines the price, as okay as the weight.
Hello,
How frequent ounces and where are we sending it and from what location?
Within the USA, first class postage conceivably a buck if that. However there is not satisfactory info to know exactly.
It's 80 cents if it is one ounce or less (which it will be smaller number than, with 4-5 sheets of paper). It get treated differently from a letter envelope because it's not tool read by the same system as epistle envelopes ... and therefore costs more.

If nearby were something rigid contained by there, the price would be more, but 80 cents for newspaper.
The price for mailing a First Class envelope of that size (9" x 11 1/2") go by the ounce. The rule of thumb is that 3 business-sized sheets (8 1/2" x 11") + an envelope = 1 oz. Based on that, if your sister mails simply 3 sheets, pay the First Class rate for 1 oz. = 80 cents. If she mail 4 to 6 sheets, the next ounce is solitary 17 cents more, so the total postage due would be 97 cents. Each additional ounce will cost 17 cents more.

It does NOT issue where you're mail it from or to within the continental United States, but if you're mail it off the continent, you should check the international postage rates on the usps website I added below.

By the instrument, if the envelope is rigid (won't bend easily), is not a standard size, is square, or wider on one side than the other - so it cannot go through their machinery, the PO will make the addition of additional charges.

Your sister's best bet is to clutch the envelope to the PO & have them weigh it & put postage on it right at the counter.
