Ebay users simply please?
if you buy from ebay what items are you most likely to bid on?Answers: I bid on things of my own personal interests, which are collectively either import items not easily available, collectibles that are difficult to find, and things that are largely sold in shops that can simply survive in deeply large cities. Most other things, I'll simply buy locally because it's cheaper and more convenient.
I flog and buy on E-Bay and most people lately impulse buy when they see something that they want. I own purchased a compressor, a model aircraft engine, a DVD burner, a golf club and a boat motor. So it's pretty diverse yet you don't obviously go on E-Bay looking for items they find you! Have a great year!
What is depreciation and how does it affect the cash and bank balances?
Answers: Depreciation Expense is a non cash expense. It will not affect your cash position or your bank balance when the entry is being made.
It will lower the balance of the asset being depreciated on your books. It will also increase a Depreciation Expense Account , which will result in lowering your Net Income.
So, your Income Tax will be somewhat less, which will ultimately save you some cash that would have been paid in taxes. AND, the asset being depreciated will be reflected on your books for a lower and lower figure that should approximate the lower and lower value of its remaining usefull life over time.
Depreciation is the lessening of worth for something. A car is a great example. Most cars depreciate by a couple fo thousand dollars as soon as they are driven off the lot for the first time. Then they steadily decline in financial value until they become worth only a few bucks for scraps.
This doesn't effect actual cash or banks though because it is an asset that is not "liquid". cash in a bank is liquid funds. The only thing that effects that is inlflation. What you dollar, or pound is worth right now, won't be the exact same next week. It may be up- appreciation (deflation) or down depreciation (inflation).
your balance stays the same, but the buying power changes day to day. The goal for the federal economists is to have that change be as little as possible and to go up in value stedily, not too quickly.
Depreciation does not affect your cash and bank balances. It is a motnhly reduction on the Acquisition price of your fixed assets like buildings, machines, car (but not land) due to wear and tear. It decreases your sales income bec this is an expense and decreases the value of your fixed assets.
Depreciation is computed thru: eg. value of your bldg divided by the estimated service life of said bldg. If the bldg was built and finished in the middle of the year then it takes only half a year depreciation by the 1st year. The following year however in full.
