What is the best way to sell old comic books and be sure one is not getting ripped off/ taken advantage of?
Answers: Buy a price guide, which are sold at comic book stores. Keep in mind that you must deduct money from the worth due to the grading (the guides should explain how to grade comics and how to calculate actual worth)
Also keep in mind that you will never get full value.
It depends on what comics you are selling. If they are worth something, I'd sell them on E-Bay. In fact I have done this, and I've gotten very good prices for some of my comics.
Going to a comic store to sell them would be my last resort, because they will try to take them off your hands for as little as possible.
know what they're worth and don't sell them for less.

Back-up your data file.
You now need to OPTIMISE your file.
Turn the screen saver off.
Select FILE -> OPTIMISE COMANY FILE
This could take up to an hour.
Do not do anything else on your computer.
Once finished turn the screen saver back on.
