Answers: 14kt gold is nowhere near the 24kt needed to get the spot price for your gold. Take it to a dealer, but you will be surprise how much you will get. Jewelry is overpriced and low in quality when it comes to gold, so selling to someone for spot is really hard to do.
The buyer will have to separate the gold from the other metals and then cast it, which will cost a lot of money. So, they will offer you less than the actual content of gold becuase of all they will have to do to get it back up to 24kt.
