please explain the difference between a wholesaler and a retailer.

wholesalers are the people who supply the merchandise to the store...you can buy at a lower price from the wholesaler because he/she have not spent a bunch of money making the stores pretty ..the retailers mark up the price so they can grasp a bigger profit on the goods..the mark-up also pays for the member of staff salary and the decor of the store, the building, the trucker who cart the stuff and so on.

Question around shipping a packet?

This is a really stupid question probably but I'm a childlike college student who is clueless about this stuff. So I put a book up for Dutch auction on Amazon and it sold so now I call for to ship it to the buyer. Could I just bring the book to the post organization and they will provide a box, wrapping, etc? Or do I need to prepackage it contained by a box and drop it off at the post organization? Do I just stir to the desk or whatever and drop it sour? I don't know how any of this works its my first time selling something online. I would appreciate any help, I of late don't want to show up at the post office tomorrow looking resembling an idiot lol.

Answers: ~SIMPLE AND EASY~

Get a BUBBLE envelope. (either at Walmart, for about $1 or smaller amount, or the POST OFFICE.. I don't know how much. But it might be worth it to you to save on the WALMART trip)

Include the PACKING LIST that AMAZON have for you in your peddler account for that item.

Write the correct address on the envelope.

Visit the bank clerk at the post office and enlighten them you want to send this book near MEDIA MAIL. She might tell you FIRST CLASS MAIL is cheaper (depending on the bulk.) Take it if it is.

If it is EXPEDITED, tell her you want to distribute this EXPEDITED.

Get a DELIVERY CONFIRMATION for 75 cents if it's worth it to you.(SMALL white/green sheet) That way you can cover your butt if the buyer say they never got it.

That's it!
HAPPY SHOPPING!
You turn to the post office and they enjoy all the covering supplies you need previously you get to the counter.

You hold to pay for everything unsurprisingly.. so you can stay there surrounded by the lobby and put your item in the box/wrapping, doesn`t matter what..

or you can purchase it.. take it home.. do it up nearby, and bring it back to ship it out.

but usually the post offices are slow and the loaf is long.. so be prepared. i usually just turn in and buy the supplies later come back at a subsequently time. much easier for me.

good luck.

also however you ship it.. clear sure you ALWAYS ask for delivery confirmation. it'll reclaim you in ANY/ALL online disputes over shipping. it's resembling 30 cents or less.
