What are some things it is improper for debt collectors to do?
I've seen commercials almost how it is illegal for collectors to do secure things, and it constitutes harassment. I enjoy a collector calling me (for a bill I paid, but to them that seem irrelevant) at 9:00 at night, and on weekends. Just wondering when they cross the chain, anyone know? Thanks!Answers: You can stop a debt collector from contacting you by writing a letter to the collector recitation them to stop. Once the collector receives your dispatch, they may not contact you again except to say nearby will be no further contact or to notify you that the debt collector or the creditor intends to take some specific goings-on. Please note, however, that sending such a communiqu¨¦ to a collector does not make the debt step away if you actually owe it. You could still be sued by the debt collector or your imaginative creditor.
How reliable is making a purchase sour ebay and paying next to a money directive?
i tried paypal. but i experianced some problems. its a $300 purchaseAnswers: Absolutely pay by credit card. A money instruct only give protection if you can show it was fraudulently cashed (like if it is stolen from the mailbox) - NOT if the merchandise is unwanted items or broken, etc.
Paypal is supposed to be ok but if you've ever tried to contact them directly about a problem, you know that they kind it so difficult you just administer up eventually.
By definition, you are entitled to refuse any charge on your credit card for up to several months. The credit card company doesn't charge if you've got a right reason, they only get their money support from the vendor who consequently can try to sue you if he chooses. A credit card is absolutely the with the sole purpose way to move about on eBay if you've never dealt near the buyer before.
PS Whenever I try to use Paypal to buy on eBay, the failure to pay setting is to pay from my wall account. If you own both a credit card and a bank portrayal registered with Paypal, construct sure you change the setting to specify clearing from your credit card as you won't get any minister to from your bank if you run into a problem.
It really adjectives depends on the sellers reputation. Do they enjoy good feedback?
A money writ purchased just anywhere won't tender much protection. A US postal money order, however, that is to say cashed in a fraudulent transaction will hold repercussions for the payee. They could be convicted of mail fraud beside fines up to 10 thousand dollars and or jail time.
That won't back you get your item though, if you be really dealing with a scammer. It is only a huge deterrent for using a US Postal money order surrounded by a fraudulent way. I would definately use a US postal money directive over any other kind.
