Embezzlement or not?
If two parents own a business, one of which is the primary shareholder, and the son who works there is writing company checks to himself and using the business credit card for unrelated purchases minus the parents knowing about it, is it still considered fraud if the company was to be audited? Also when he is writing these checks, they are accumulation up to amounts larger than what his annual income should be. These amounts are well over the $500 minimum to be considered a felony (if it is considered embezzlement).Answers: 3 parts to the answer:
A: a corporation is responsible to its shareholders. If the shareholders enjoy not suffered a loss and/or choose not to press charges then it is not appropriation.
B: Why has the son get access to the checks and credit card? Does he have signing authority? If not and the parents produce a formal complaint, he could also be charged with fraud.
C: The most serious consequence would be if the son have filed incorrect due returns, he could be in big trouble near the tax citizens.
Audited by who? If the government audits, consequently the audit would only be for the purpose of determining if the parliament has be shortchanged in taxes compensated. In which case the directors would also be liable for what the son may hold done.
You better put that money back as at the double as you can!

Hi, my family doesn't enjoy a lot of money, and we really have need of more. My parents are divorced, and I live with my mom. My dad owes us lots of money, but won't settle any of it. We have $60/mo. phone service beside Qwest, and $30/mo. Internet with Earthlink. We could procure $25/mo. Vonage, and $25 or so/mo. high-speed Internet with Qwest, but my mom lately won't do it. My siblings (2) are very profligate of electricity and water, and sometimes foods, etc. I try to conserve as much as I can contained by the way of electricity and wet, and food. What can I do to better help my family unit and maybe draw from cheaper services? Please, please help! I've be living like this ever since my parents get divorced (about 5 years), and I am so tired of it. Please help!Thanks.

I am not sure how old-fashioned you are, but if your mom will not listen to common sense when it comes to in recent times lowering the phone bill/internet bill, then it is probably a lost mete out, you should think almost enrolling her surrounded by a class on how to handle finances/debt or even a simple accounting/budgeting class. Usually ancestors that avoid saving money are avoiding it because they are afraid to own that there is a problem.
Learn from it and do not gross the same mistakes when you find older.
Tired of what? You hold a phone and Internet. What makes you reckon you need more money?
If your mom is keeping the lights on and providing you beside a phone and internet, then you are newly fine.
Changing serives and saving a integral $40 a month is really not going to make that much difference.

If your MOm and siblings don;t want to do anything I think your within trouble. Once they want to do something, it migt make a difference.

So I'm in the Student Government Association at my college, and this April 9, 2008 we are have a charity basketball game contained by which the professors will play the students and the halftime entertainment will be professors showing off their assorted talents near all the proceeds one donated directly to children with bone cancer. So it should be like mad of fun but the problem is we need sponsorships, money, donations, raffle items, door prizes etc. to capture the ball rolling(to try and grasp the best turnout). I've been everywhere and I have it in mind everywhere around my neighborhood asking for these items mentioned earlier, and own received gift cards(no more than $15), coupons, and cups/napkins which is great, don't go and get me wrong I'm glad they even took the time to give us anything. But if this entity is going to be successful we need big prizes such as TVs, GPS systems, cell phones, grant, and most important: food etc. my cross-examine is to you guys how would I go in the order of getting these things from them?Answers: Considering the items in which you would resembling to have donated, I would sugggest a short time bit of marketing strategy if you are really serious about it. People resembling to be advertised especially if it isn't going to raison d`¨ētre them a freat deal and it can be written rotten to charity. Try that route. Maybe allow some vendors at the event and contained by exchange have them become a sponsor. Think Win-Win.
Given the discount, you will have a concrete time getting those items donated.
