General Business Questions and Answers

Has bill Gates retired?

I know he is still a figure within the economy, but have he retired yet?

Answers: The final I've heard through the report is that Mr. Gates has stepped down from day by day duties at Microsoft to concentrate on his philanthropic exploits around the globe. Whether that constitutes retirement, I don't know.
not all the same, at least not properly

Has any one used the services of Grant Finacial Network Inc. to secure a business expansion type allow?

this co. promises to find grant $ for Small Businesses can I trust them?

Answers: NO you cannot.

They will simply ask you to reimburse first, and once you do, you'll never hear from them again. You will not get the grant promised to you and you will never get your money vertebrae in return.

Why? Because the administration does not really give grant to expand a for profit business UNLESS your business is eligible for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/... , which fund the research and development of industrial innovation that meets specific senate needs.

Even SBA does NOT supply out grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CO...

"The U.S. Small Business Administration does not proffer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does set aside a wide choice of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does offer some give up programs, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organization that provide small business management, industrial, or financial assistance. These grants commonly support non-profit organizations, intermediary lend institutions, and state and local governments."

Nonetheless, you can turn to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grant.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grant. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit endeavour.

Here is a listing of federal grant for small businesses. See if there is any available for individuals for starting a business -- THERE'S NONE.

I've resigned, an employer asked why, i don't want to tell him the reason, what diplomatic reason can i give?

Answers: You don't need to give one. You've quit. that's it.

Unless you are waiting for some sort of pay or bonus.
you are moving, you need to work different hours or you fancy a change nothing personal.

edit
to your new employer you could say the was talk of relocating your old workplace and it was not convenient so you left before having to.....
You could say you feel your career is limited here and i have to persue new routes in order to stimulate my ambitions.

Then again you could just say, The canteens crap!
Exploring other opportunities. Expanding your skill base. Acssuming a position with greater responsibility. Geographical/Logistical reasons.
Edit---- you are wise to part diplomatically, you never want to burn a bridge or create a bad impression, you may need to use this employer as a reference or find a connection to the employer down the road and you don't want any negative impressions holding you back !
Tell them prostitution is tiring.
tell him its something you cannot talk about as you are under winess protection and not advised to by the police.
just make something up ;)
Howabout a clash of personalities? It's far more common than you would think. Another one is, you have had a better offer elsewhere that suits you career path. Good luck.
If you don't want to make references to what you don't like about your job/company/employer, you can always be diplomatic and say you'd like to pursue other opportunities or personal interests.
Tell him the truth.
You owe that to him so when he replaces you he chooses the right person.
Remember he has paid your wages.
Ask yourself why you resigned and be truthful, your new prospective employer will surely ring your last employer to check out your story.
I always do people are such liars in job interviews and most employers will want a reference from the last place you worked in any case..
