Company making character drive personal motor for business reason . . .?

Can a company make you drive your own vehicle for business reason without reimbursing you for mileage? A personality who drives sometimes 200 miles in a morning doing copier repair and sales, do they own to drive their own car and not capture reimbursed for it, or is the company legally responsible for paying that human being, or supplying them with a company motor? Hurry and please help, this is a big issue I am trying to sustain a friend with.

Answers: No, the company does not hold to pay for miles. It is smart if they do, as they would find the full deduction, fairly than a 2% AGI limit the party gets. But the business is not required to reimburse.

Employees can receive a deduction on their personal income taxes, if they drive adequate miles and are not reimbursed by the company. They must keep track of the miles they drive, somewhere excluding in their manager. It must be written. Fill out the form 2106 on the federal tax return. You attain a deduction for your miles times .485 (48.5 cents) once you be in motion past 2% of your on the same wavelength gross income.

I have noted two websites below. The first is the instructions for the 2106. The second is the form itself.
Yes a company can require you to use your own vehicle and no they do not hold to pay you for it.

BUT, you can claim unreimbursed hand expenses on taxes.

Talk to a tax guy to find out how to claim these expenses.
I don't know of any tenet that says he must. He can other use his car as a business expense; gas, mileage, repairs and insurance to name a few.

:)
You might inquire at your local labor department. But legally? I don't believe that companies are required by ruling to reimburse you if you use your car for business purposes...

If your friend keep track of all his/her mileage and adjectives the receipts for gas expenses. I suggest he take copies of those accounts to his boss and request reimbursement. Or ask for a raise that will give a hand cover the expenses your friend is occurring... I suggest being as prudent and diplomatic as possible, he can remind the manager/boss that he comes to work on time/gives good customer service/repairs things surrounded by a timely manner and repairs things well/has met or exceeded sale goals- these things may help the boss realize that your friend deserves the compensation...

Another entry he should consider is checking with his personal auto insurance to product sure he is coverage protects him in the event of an happenstance while he is using his car for business purposes... If not, later he should definitely see if the employer provides him coverage.

I used to work for a small family circle owned store many years ago- my boss couldn't afford to reimburse me gas money when I used my sports car for deliveries, but she be able to extend the store coverage to trademark sure my vehicle was covered while contained by use for the store. (But then, I also never put that much mileage on my coup¨¦ as your friend does...)

Another option is to cart the mileage records and gas receipts beside him when he gets his taxes done, he could acquire a portion of it refunded beside his return as business expenses.

Good luck.
Depending on the persons contract, a company can ask or detail you to use your own car for business purposes.

It may be that the company think it is paying for this through the level of take-home pay an individual receives or they may class them as self employed and responsible for in attendance own travel!

The long and short of it is they can do anything they wish provided it be covered off at the interview, propose letter, and or the employment contract.

Your friend desires to make sure he have informed his insurance company that he uses it for business purposes or he will not be insures when he travels!

All travelling, fuel, repairs and maintenance should be lodged and receipt's kept and claimed stern on a self assessment form each year.

This will hand over him an adjusted duty code (possibly) to cover some of the expenses next year or they may receive a rates rebate (cheque) and the end of respectively quarter.

hope this helps,

Craig

How knotty is it to grasp a opportunity as a milkman within the UK?

It's been my lifelong dream to be a milkman. How frozen is it to get a situation on a milk float? Do you need University? How is the pay packet? Can anyone give me a correlation to any milk float companies web sites?

Answers: i wouldnt bother my dad is a milkman and its getting harder and harder for them as they are getting priced out by the supermarkets, they are a dying breed
You hold virually no chance of ever becoming a milkman as most hold gone out of business due to people buying their milk from the supermarket.

You will own to choose another career I'm afraid.

How something like Accountancy, The Postal Service, Quantity Surveying or keeping chickens?
The answers above are right. It's a dying trade. I pay 54p a bottle for deliver milk, 5 days only. The rest I buy contained by the supermarket at 40p. Our co-op milk company is selling out now to Dairy Crest so the milk abdication system is dying fast, hopeless to say. So you might find it difficult to become a milkman and there's not profusely of future surrounded by it, unless you're hoping for redundancy!?

Is the value of 1 billion in England & Germany worth more than in America & France?

Answers: 1 billion of what?

Euros are trading higher than dollars.

But you cannot compare apples & oranges.

Kind of like saying does one pound of lead weigh more than one pound of water.
In German 1 Billion = 1 000 000 000 000 = 10^12
1 Billion = 1000 Milliarden
1 Milliarde = 1000 Millionen

So a "german Billion" is 1000 times an "american billion"
no.in england and germany, 1 billion is only 100 million
