The ridge says here was a hold on the check; how can nearby be a hold on the check if it shows on 4 different pieces of paper that the money be in the details as of Tuesday at midnight and the checks he wrote bounced saying non-suffiecient funds? Anyone else have this problem?

I prefer Fed Ex. I find the rates are a bit complex, but if I have a deferred package, it is credited final to me right away, no forms to fill out etc. I also find that Fed Ex deliver faster than UPS (maybe it's my area) and is more convenient if I need to pick a bundle at their offices.
Ive found that UPS is smaller amount careful next to my packages, and often hold damage, or contents are broken.
I also prefer FedEx's website. I find it unforced to navitgate.
