I would listen to your mom and wait a couple years until you are 15 or 16. Just own fun at this age! Trust me on that one, most part-time job are no fun.

I think you're still too young-looking for a paper route. I would linger until you're 12 or so. Paper routes are pretty safe as long as you don't adopt invitations to step indoors and have a buddy or parent if it's threatening out. Babysitting should be ok at your age unless the child is a newborn or has vigour issues, but make sure that you are babysitting for someone you know moderately well, here are a lot of creeps contained by the world. Lawn/garden work is something that you could do. Snowshoveling might be something to do when it's snowy. Salary is something that you and your employer have to agree on, ask some other kids what they grasp for babysitting. One thing to remember is what they and you reflect you are going to be paid for. Make sure they get that babysitting is one job and housekeeping is another. If they want both, they should foot for both.
