Finance & Business Question and Answers

what are 2 ways the feed make the cutback gain strength?

Question:

Answers:
1) The Fed sets the reserve requirements for the country's banking system.
Currently the Fed uses a Fractional Reserve Banking which resources a bank can retain just a fraction of their deposits to satisfy demands for withdrawal, lending the remainder at interest to gain income that can be used to pay interest to depositors and provide profits for the banks' owners.
As you can see the lower the reserves required the more profitable a dune can be and that attracts more investors to open more bank.
On the other hand, if the Fed increased the minimum reserves needed by bank they would have to slim down the amount of money they can loan and that will affect the economy.
If everybody at alike time decides to close their hill accounts the bank would not enjoy enough money to settle them all. If that ever happen the bank surrounded by question will basically ask for a loan to another bank.

2) The Fed can lower the interests rates at will. If the cutback is not growing the interest rates are cut and because it's cheaper to buy a house or a car everybody starts buying houses or cars and that cause the economy to grow again. On the other appendage, if the economy grows too much and everybody starts hiring plentifully of people and laying-off is low then wages run much higher because it's harder to find the type of hand you need and that reduce profits. This is the current scenario. Unemployment is very low (Less than 5%) and the interest rates stipulation to go sophisticated because it is impossible to have a 1% job loss rate. If that ever happens and for example you are a hospital and one of your nurses quits you would not be capable of find another one to replace her and you would have to steal one from another hospital and that scheme paying more money.
Also, if the economy is growing too promptly everybody starts building factories and that increases competiion and that lowers prices and if the prices run to low profits go down and if profits stir down then factory are closed and that causes abundantly of problems.
It's a lot easier to brand money more expensive by raising interest rates so if some company requests to build a new factory near a billion dollars it would be hard if the interest rates are 10% but if the interests rates are 0% (Like within Japan) then everybody would start building them as efficient as they could.
That may seem similar to a good entry because more jobs are created and prices are lower. But if prices gain too low then you enjoy deflation which is the opposite of inflation.

As you can see, the commission of the Fed is extremely complex and there is no flowing way to bring financial estability to a country.

In the future, organization could be hired from Mexico on demand and bring temporal workers as needed for a week or two or for a month or two and when they are no longer needed they merely go pay for to Mexico.
That could create a perfect laboral marketplace where every United States of America citizen can work and within is no unemployment and to keep hold of wages from going higher the companies could hire mexican temporal workers if here cannot find american workers. However, for that to actually work you would obligation to cancel the welfare altogether to force everybody to in truth work as ooposed to get a check from the Government and that s deeply unpopular and I don't believe any Congressman would write a bill like that at this point contained by time.

Other Answers:
They can lower interest rates or lower reserve requirements, both of which would help stimulate the reduction. They can also buy and sell bonds directly for currency to affect the monetary supply.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pound_sterling I don't know much around English currency. I would venture to guess that pounds be once the monetary value of 1 lb. of products. Sterling probably derives from silver, and I don't have a clue just about pence. You may want to start surfing, that would be my final guess.

Who determines the exchange rate between currencies of different countries?

Question:

Answers:
Well it depends. If you are talking almost free market economy, then the marketplace is the one that sets the exchange rate... its pure supply and demand. Let me dispense you an example.

Take for instance what happened today to the exchange rate between the mexican peso and US dollar. Investors around the world are thinking that the Fed is going to march up the intrest rates, making american investment more intresting than before. So what happen to the peso? Well, investors that have their money contained by the mexican stock market or within mexican currency start to convert their pesos to dollars to bring them back to the US to invest. Since more society are demanding dollar in exchange of pesos, the supply is forced to adjust prices. Basic economics, more emergency for a good make price go up... so the exchange rate pesos for dolar is artificial negatively... inversly, demand of pesos for dollar go down! This happens beside all exchange rates out at hand.

Another example. The middle east used to quote and sell barrels of grease in us dollars. When some nation decided to use the euro instead of the dollar, the dollar for euros exchange rate go up, since less dollars be being demanded, and more euros be being demanded to buy the grease.

That is the free market exchange rate... very soon, there is also a estimated echange rate that uses intrest rate from both countries to calculate the exchange rate. The actual exchange rate within the market may be diffrent from the abstract one, showing an over or under-valuation of a currency, depending on the difference.

Currencies that come from closed economies may enjoy a fixed exchange rate, regulated by goverment. On this examples, the currency from the not opened reduction might be overvalued by goverment fixing to protect certain intrests... sooner or latter, the countries reserves mught not hold, and a hard depreciation of the currency is bounded to take place.

Hope i explained myself... kind of unsettled and im almost ready for bed. Any more question, feel free to email me!

Good luck!
