I only know US rules, and even afterwards I'm no expert on the subject but here are my thoughts. It is illegal to alter currency, but you're not doing that. It is unsanctioned to pass rig money, but you're not doing that, either. So I come up with as long as you use it for amusement, what's the harm? Pretty sure the police own better things to do, anyway.

They without a doubt don't wear jeans but I'm used to looking more professional and want to convey my work ethic in my presentation. I'm concerned, however, that dressing more professionally (and I'm a moment ago talking just about a standard business suit) than them could cause them to consider that I somehow view myself as better or something stupid approaching that. To other dress much, much better than your superiors (and I assume your peers), may hurt you because you could be seen as not fitting contained by. I would start out slightly better dressed - wait for the boss to report you it's OK to dress down a bit. I think that since you are newly starting a job, not a soul is going to be offended if you dress a touch better than those who have be around, but you could offend if you dress close to everyone else right away - they may think that you aren't trying to impress, which is something you should do at first.
