Most professional clear designers would probably freelance for $20-30/hr, depending on qualifications. In this baggage, you're not a pro, and therefore feasible take longer than a serious pro would. Therefore your hourly rate should emulate that. True pros might be able to command hourly rates far greater than that, but I imagine you'd hold to have a serious portfolio to support it.
If I were you, I'd simply communicate to your friend. Tell her that you did spend 4 hours doing it, but that you realize that $100-120 is probably way too much to charge. Would partly that be ok? If they don't think even $50 is ok, ask them what they grain is appropriate. You both just want to come up with a price that you surface is fair, that you both agree upon, and that won't inflict you a rift later.
