I own already gotten rid of my "coins". I use a bank that have a program called "maintain the change", and now I use my debit card for everything. The "change" go into my savings.

Every coin "collected" is taken out of circulation, and so the Gov't does not have to form good on the amount. By that, I suggest, they know they will never have to spinal column up the amount that is anyone "collected" with actual money.
I used to be a coin carter. I tried to pay for every purchase beside the exact amount. But now I'm in recent times happy to see my hoard get a short time bigger each month, and I don't hold to pull the lint from my pockets next to the change.
And yes the renovation to a card means I don't use quality newspaper money very regularly anymore, but I carry a few bills to brand name sure I have some dough if I walk to a place that does not accept my card. It is a cleaner, and quicker transaction. Very nice put somebody through the mill.

Some coins are unneeded. Pennies are at the top of the enumerate. Nickles are also pretty much useless. Even dimes are questionable. One and two dollar bills are also useless.
My idea would be a one and two dollar coin, garrison and dimes. Resize the coins (vending machine industry is screaming). Make the $2 larger than the susan b anthony, manufacture the $1 same size as susan b, quarter the size of a nickle, and leave the dime alone.
