I heard some companies would play a trick approaching this: they build a blog and customers would share their opinions on the products here, and some employees would pretend that they be customers and said all the honest things about the company and their products. Do you know anything approaching this that has really happen? (Especially the bug companies) What do you think almost this? Can this behavior be considered unethical or do you chew over it's just a marketing strategy or even a briliant one? Yes, some companies do it but not adjectives. It is a very dishonourable practice. Some of it are so obvious since sometimes one personage puts 3 entries and the linguistics and grammer look similar. In fact, such companies ruin up losing potential customers. I have one-sidedly pointed out to a company and told them of that too. Did not receive a reply from them though.
It is a marketing strategy but ppl (potential customers) are not fools. When they see such references, they do request for agreed references whom they can discuss and refer wager on to. If these were false, the company stands to lose deeply including its reputation. Any good company will enjoy its proper references, whom can you join personally and settle with.
On pros and cons, to put it simple, for every customer the company gain using this scheme, the company stands to lose 20 of them. Eventually, the word spreads around and the company will be blacklisted. Even if they correction business or go earnest, no one will beleive them. They lose trust and goodwill and everything else eventually.
Yes it is done...and I believe workers who have tried the service can own a say...but those that do it in recent times to "build up" the company--that is lying, plain and simple, and lying is always wrong.
It is unethical to do this. Companies that do so are guilty of fraudelent promotion if that is the skin.

Yep you are right nearby. I used to work for the lending nouns of them which technically didnt have too much to do next to the bank itself but the amount pf complaints I get about them be unreal. They have lost so frequent customers. I now work contained by Nationwide Building Society and the difference in the style they treat there customers is similar to night and morning. The horror stories I used to hear about the TSB be unbelieveable! Apparently they treat their bank staff even worse so no wonder their service is crap.
