Once its thaw out, hang out at your neighborhood park. Also parley to the parents you work for and let them know to settle to other parents. Thats how we find ours. (although some parents dont like to share worthy babysitters) I wouldnt do anykind of posting, you mentioned cause of weirdos.
1. See if you can post a mind at a local daycare center (like a YMCA) in your neighborhood. Parents near children who use that facility are always looking for reliable babe-in-arms sitters.
2. Go to the local playground on a weekend when the weather is nice and introduce yourself to parents of children playing there.

You can post bulletins beside your phone on them at laundry mats, grocery stores, and possibly call round some local day care and talk to them going on for giving your name and number to parents looking for evening sitters.
