It totally depends on the wording of your original contract/lease.
Some can be converted, some can not. Generally within business to business leases, they can not be converted to purchase.
They own you locked in, it sucks. All you can do is take home sure you never use them again.
You probably owe the remainder of the payments. If you want to keep the equipment you probably enjoy to pay a residual as okay.
On a side note-- that lease is really high, I'd estimate you should be paying a total of smaller amount than 10,000 for a 60 month lease.
Maybe you live somewhere with a high-ranking sales excise or property tax rate, or your business have a less than great credit rating.
