However whenever someone call in and points out right options that conflict near his Dave just mutes them and next keeps conversation to them like they are still on the vein (implying that they can not debate his position.)
1. Living debt-free...yes great advice. Dave didn't come up beside the idea but he have presented it very all right.
2. Term over whole enthusiasm insuranceUsually but not always. And never forget that you are pissing your premium away on occupancy if you don't die young so don't buy more than you requirement and cancel it as soon as you no longer entail it.
3. Always use a realator when selling a house...WRONG! I do not believe this for a minute and I don't think Dave would ever say aloud this except he gets a huge income from the "local endorsed providers" who reimburse him to refer customers to them.
4. Use Dave's paid endorsed "financial advisors?"...WRONG! They are full commission brokers and Dave get a huge fee for sending us to them. Use a charge for service broker OR a discount broker.
5. Carry money around in envelopes...Wrong! Pay next to credit card and pay past its sell-by date the full balance EVERY month. Contrary to "Dave's studies" you DO NOT spend more money that process as long as you get out of that "living contained by debt mentality."
6. Debit cards over credit cards...Wrong! Use the credit card and pay the full stability off respectively month. Better protection! Debit cards are DANGEROUS and make no sense. I reflect Dave just have a personal vendetta against the credit card companies from back when he "thought" he be a millionaire but he was really overextended and broke.
7. Pay bread for cars...right except I would be OK with borrowing adequate money to get a clothed enough sports car as long as you took out the loan for no longer than 12-months. If you get too cheap of a coup¨¦ you can REALLY get screwed unless you are unbelievably mechanically inclined.
8. Mutual Funds...Dave oversells mutual funds. They are a great investment but they own RISK. He never even mentions the risk of mutual funds. They are not right for everyone. And he NEVER mentions specific funds because he doesn't want to be proven wrong. FACT: Some mutual funds will loose money even over 10-year or longer time frames and some of those looked real well-mannered on paper.
9. Dave laughing at individuals and calling them stupid and saying it is OK because he used to be stupid too. This is rude and arogant. Can I screech at you and call you Fat-*** because I own lost a lot of consignment? Not unless I want to be rude and insult you.
Overall, I like Dave's show (as in good health as Suzi Ormond's and Clark Howard's) but it is best to educate yourself and not in recent times blindly follow one person's opinions.
