If you have excel you can divide the hours in excel. It would be a simple point to set up a spread sheet to calculate the hours and hang on to track to them. If not then you can speed up the calculation by using the 24hour clock.
The first 12 hours is the same 1 - 12, the subsequent 12 hours 13 - 24. Converting the time to 24 hour time is as easy as accumulation 12 to the hour for the pm hours after 12 noon, minutes remain alike.
Calculating hours is as simple as subtracting the in time from the out time, example: surrounded by time 0730 or 7:30 am, out time 1430 or 2:30 pm; 1430 - 0730 = 7 hours.
If someone works past midnight a moment ago add the number of hours chronological midnight to 24 and subtract the in time from that. Example: surrounded by time = 1800 or 6 pm, out time 0200 or 2 am; 2 + 26 = 26, 2600 - 1800 = 8 hours.
