The Dynex works fine, but it's not a identify brand, and it doesn't come with much warantee, or even right instructions. But it is still working, and the price was highly low.
I did not see the very low priced brands within Best Buy. But when you go on eBay within is so much low priced gear, that everyone's expectation is for low prices, and even the name brand stuff sell for low money. I guess a name brand Combo drive approaching mine could sell for up to $40. So, I'll transport a wild guess here, you probably necessitate to get a 50% discount to break even.
