grameen banking-micro nouns -helper of the poor?
Question:
is this really helping the poor, by training them skills and livelihood projects then providing them loans beside interest as capitals next to NO collaterals. But in command to get a loan, one have to at least enjoy 10 or more persons to serve as co maker or guarantors in valise one fails to money. This is pure and simple banking assignment to get revenues, no different to lend corporations with collaterals. What if the borrower's business suffered losses due to poor sale, robberies, disasters or natural calamity, he still has to earnings the principal amount plus interest, worst, sell his meager property or provide services to put rotten the debt, the more he is stacked in poverty. Why not instead of the guard lending, it interlace hands next to the"borrower" in doing business as partnership or communal venture status, and agree on a profit and loss sharing condition, a win-win situation? This is supposed to be how islamic bank works and i thought muhammad yunus is a muslim.
Answer:
Yes,
His system isn't perfect. The rates they usually charge on loans are better than commercial loans and they use the backers to lend a hand collect on outstanding loans. It is access to funds that many wouldn't enjoy and most importantly it works. Even if the borrowers are paying a high rate, the return they can bring back on the capital is even difficult so it makes honourable economic sense.
You own repeated this question 3-times. So, I am appending my response afresh below:
I can see that you do not enjoy information about the bank sector in Bangladesh. These are no different than India, Pakistan, Japan or USA. They would administer and take interest and your term it as 'Haram' is quite right contained by the sense of religion. But again in this 21st century when the in one piece world is based on 'interest' systems consequently why exclude you unilaterally?
Of course, the 'interest' those were made 'haram' forbidden within the early days of Islam be when cut-throat interest rate would make ancestors bankrupt and they would become pauper.
That's why 'business' be made "Halal" and 'Interest" was made "Haram". But the sincerity has changed presently and you do not ask for yearly interest at 100% of so. Things are made so much bearable than you are prompted to start a business after taking bank loan and paying interest.
About Islamic Banking, they also pocket interest in disguise. Otherwise, how can they formulate money? Your last smudge "This is supposed to be how Islamic banking works and I thought Muhammad Yunus is a Muslim" is any from ignorance or you are mocking Grameen banking and Dr. Yunus.
I would suggest that you may remuneration a visit to Bangladesh and find the finer points of Grameen Bank as ably as how the other Banks are operating so that you do not end up next to speculating. Chances are, you may be a convert of Grameen Bank philosophy, if not a promoter of that view.
Calling the 66-year-old Bangladeshi a ‘modern Ghandi,’ the Norwegian Nobel Committee saluted his pains ‘to create economic and social nouns from below.’ ‘Lasting peace cannot be achieved unless roomy population groups find ways in which to break out of poverty. Micro-credit is one such process,’ said Committee Chairman Ole Danbolt Mjos, adding that such initiatives ‘advance democracy and human rights.’

Can someone explain how self billing works-indetai please?
Question:
Answer:
When an application for payment is surrounded by form of a VAT INVOICE a tax point will take place when the invoice is issued and the issuer will be liable for the full amount of VAT included in the invoice. This is ok if you know you will return with paid resonably like lightning, no good if you enjoy to wait three months for your money because you still hold to pay the VAT out of your own pocket.
So an example of Self Billing.
A Sub Contractor applies for transmittal through an application NOT invoice (having confirmed the vat rate previously) The Main Contractor (employer) makes a clearing of the value of the application together near vat as appropraite and sends with the stipend an undated self billing document in the amount of the reimbursement plus VAT. The Sub Contractor dates the self billing document on unloading, and the becomes the VAT document. Self Billing may just be used with approval of HMRC.
This method the subbie doesnt have to repay the VAT out untill they have in truth been rewarded.

Question:
Answer:
Obviously it depends on which country you live in. In the U.S., the rate for up to one ounce is 39c, tentatively due to walk to 42c in May 2007. You can use any combination of stamps that give up to at least 39c - and the post department doesn't mind if you overpay.
Post cards can be mailed currently for 24c.
The above is for letters within the U.S. Letters to most other countries cost 84c, but it's 63c to Canada and Mexico. All for one ounce.
If you are surrounded by a country other than the U.S., I don't know.
$.39
heh. it's $0.42
37 cents
32p
At tiniest you knew it be dumb. $ .39 and soon to be $ .40 I'm sure.
Right now, contained by the U.S., it's 39 cents per average letter.

Call centers UK with the sole purpose?
Question:
I'm sick to death of have to speak to people contained by foreign countries who's grasp of the English language is minimal! Anyone agree?
Answer:
I detest call centre, full stop. However, the frustration is even worse when there are speech difficulties. Sometimes people speak without blemish good english, but a unwieldy accent can craft them hard to take.
What about Ireland? It's foreign and most of the natives speak English.
Frustrating isnt it. When they bid themselves Bob Smith but you cannot understand a word.
totally agree..its a backache in the ***
To bloody right, thier a twinge for people who really work!!
I do agree. They are usually tremendously polite and pleasant, especially those from India, but when I am paying for the call on premium rates, I achieve annoyed that I cannot understand their answers because of their diction. The actual spoken English is quite pious. The result is that I have to ask them to repeat things and the give the name takes far longer than it should. For the Yahoo comfort line it is 50pence per minute.
Couldn't agree more mate
yer totally agree. i ring someone once an indian with broken english who intruduced themself as linda lol what is that adjectives about.
yes! insurance companies are the worst! own you ever noticed though, that the being who takes your money is other in this country!
too bloody right i phoned a ring centre and asked for a chicken madras and chips
I consider Call-centres here in the UK and in a foreign country should all be closed down so that we can in actual fact speak with a tangible person representing the company to some extent than someone miles away who does not understand what the problem is or,even get the drift the language we speak.
If they spent the money here instead of paying foreigners to lift our calls maybe customer care may return and, until that happen things are bound to get worse.
It really doesn't usually business a toss where the telephone call centre is - lone whether they look after you well. It is pure prejudice to criticise a appointment centre because it is overseas. The simply thing that matter is if their service is OK.
good press..i ring my bank surrounded by england, and get redirect to abu dabi land, my building society is god know where within india, thats just for starters, i gain calls adjectives the time from idiots who cant speak the queens english asking , do i want a new kitchen;;double glazing ect. i newly put the phone down o them now.

I right to be heard if companies can't be bothered to open hail as centres contained by the UK then the UK shouldn't use their products. Anybody else for a Boycott?

Question:
how much on averege can you make beside real estate
Answer:
It really depends on the nouns in which you want to invest. It can selection from $150,000 all the style up to $750,000+. What I really want to do once I get my finances within order is to flip houses, specifically where the unadulterated money is. =)
OK, so I have one sister near a Masters degree from Harvard, and another who is a attorney, retired USAF/JAG, and then at hand is the wealthy one who sell real estate. She lives surrounded by a half million dollar house, drives a BMW (not the inexpensive one) and her husband who does not work drives the Mercedes 12 cylinder sports saloon, and a nice F-250 truck. They own alot of rental properties as well. If money motivates you, and you own a good presentation, you can manufacture a bundle.

How can I figure out the change flow by looking @ Financial Statements?
Question:
Answer:
The financial statements usually contain three "statements". They contain the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. The income statement contains the revenues and expenses to determine the period's net profit. The harmonize sheet is a period ending's assets, liability and equity. The cash flow statement is a reconciliation of the income statement to the change balance by protection out changes surrounded by the balance sheet and differences surrounded by cash/non-cash items.
The cash flow statement is made up of three parts: Cash flows from operating undertakings (CFO), cash flows from/for investing comings and goings (CFI) and cash flows from/for financing accomplishments (CFF).
The CFO usually is stated using the "indirect method" (except Australia, where I've see them use the direct method predominantly). Indirect method starts with pre-tax profits, back out non-cash items (e.g. depreciation), changes surrounded by working capital and take out taxes to get to CFO. This article is basically the lolly from the "core business" of the company.
CFI is usually dominated by capital expenditures (e.g. spending on brand new equipment), acquisitions and bread flows in and out of equities, stocks, derivatives and other investments not deem to be core to the business (i.e. either as means management or outside the compass of the company's business).
CFF is usually dominated by debt proceeds/payments, dividends and new funds from equity raise (e.g. stock options, minor placements, IPO).
This nets down to the swing in dosh. You can see where change is coming and going (e.g. is the core business losing lots of money, but they are staying afloat by raising debt? is the company doing really resourcefully, but the company is blowing the cash is stupid investments year after year?).
The later thing is to look at the footnotes, which hand over you even more details on where lolly came from and go.
I can go on and on... but that, my friend, is how you numeral out the cash flow from looking at the financial statements.
Cash flow is sometimes refer to by the acronym EBITDA which stands for Earnings Before Interest Taxes Depreciation and Amortization. The totalling would be Earnings plus each of those queue items from the Income Statement. Not all proceeds will have Amortization or it may be lumped into Depreciation. If the lattice effect of interest is a plus, that is if the company collects more interest than it pays and it ISN'T a primary function of it's business consequently deduct the interest income from Earnings.
Please disregard Box18's answer--sorry it's in recent times wrong. EBITDA is not equivalent to cash flow because it ignore taxes and changes to investments.
To do a brass flow you need both the Income Statement and the Balance Sheet.
Start beside Net Income. Add Depreciation and Amortization from the income statement.
Now look at the Balance Sheet for the current period ending and the period winding up of the prior period. If Accounts receivable and other short occupancy asset accounts (except cash and currency equivalents) increased, then subtract the amount. If they are smaller, make a payment the amount. Subtract the amount of Capital Expenditures.
Now look at the liabilities. If the short-term liability increased, add the amount to dosh flow. If they decreased, subtract the amount. Do alike for all the other liability.
To prove you number, your calculated cash flow should equal the amount by which the symmetry in change and cash equivalents changed from the run out of the prior period to the extremity of the current period.
There are really too lots considerations for me to include in this answer. I suggest you look up a public company's SEC filings and look at within Statement of Cash Flow to give you an opinion.
