If you are looking for a supplier within China, your best bet is to go and build your guanxi (connections). The more friends you build the, better past its sell-by date you will be. Take a trip to beijing with someone who speaks Mandarin (or revise some yourself) and start researching. I would assume that china would be a more economical choice than Japan for the supplies you want to buy, but their idea of business is deeply different than how westerners think of it.
