Its hard to enunciate. Where i live it's always the stuff I don't feel i'm gonna get rid of that sell, and all the worthy stuff sits. Stuffed animals rarely travel unless you price them real cheap and try to appeal to the kids as they come thru. Shoes surprisingly other go over all right, books, videos and cd's from time to time sell. Games vend. You'll probaby be stuck with the loads. the lamps may provide to a college kid if they're a matching set.
Good things to supply (cheap), cases for glasses, childrens's books and toys, women's trend clothes. Costume jewerly's a BIG seller, fishing equipment and tools.

I buy mirrors, knicknacks, lamps, table etc (just moved out on my own and don't have much furnature)
I've bought materials for making crafts, c.d.s, vitally any little thing thats contained by good condition or fixable. I love outmoded jewlery I like to fashion new things next to it.
And its not all 'poor' folks as some have snobishly stated. Everything I've ever bought be practically brand new unless I be purposefully looking for old things to modify. Plus you never know when you'll find a collectable or antique.
I simply think its fun to buy things from folks. I like walking around and buying little things, its not because thats the one and only way I can afford something and I'm sure copious people touch the same course.
When I go, I usually look for sporting products stuff or vintage electronics like Super Nintendo or something approaching that

They generally look for housewares and other items for the home. I don't feel clothing is very popular unless its really poor relatives that need usable characteristic clothes for a good price.
Everything. From comforters to windowpane treatments to used dishes and silverware.....jewelry, cast-away bicycles and grills, wall art, clothing.....you name it, and someone may be looking for it.
Just realize that you're pricing things to SELL them, not nouns them back up and hold back into the house at the winding up of the day. One nice entry our neighbor does - she calls a local charity earlier scheduling her garage sales, and make arrangements for one of their trucks to come pick up whatever is departed over. That way, she get rid of EVERYTHING, and gets a tax-deductible unloading for everything she's donated.....so there's benefit whether she sold an item or not.

Honestly, poor people run there looking for unwanted items for their house or toys for their kids. Last time I had a garage public sale, it was adjectives poor, old, corpulent people looking for a bargin. People will buy pretty much anything specifically clean and works!
However, if you are going to hold a sale, here are a few pointers:
1. Don't scrutinize the people as they look through the items. This make the customer uncomfortable and smaller number likely to buy.
2. Of course, be friendly
3. Put a price to be exact more than what you plan on getting. Buyers will almost always try to bargin you down.
4. Have your products layed out other and cleaned
5. Put batteries surrounded by electronics that require them. This proves to the customer that the product actually works.
