Break-even analysis?
Question:
Conduct Break-Even Analysis in the following two scenario:
R Squared is a mobile diagnostic imaging company that performs MRI scan of patients at hospitals and clinics that cannot afford their own scanners. General Hospital has contacted R Squared in connection with a contract for services. Accountants at R Squared have calculated the erratic cost per scan at $1,200. The fixed cost per month is $90,000 (Cost of MRI lease payments and service). The accepted price charged surrounded by the community for an MRI scan is $2,100.
R Squared must charge General Hospital $200 less than the community price contained by order to grasp the contract.
1. Approximately how many patients must R Squared scan at General Hospital to break even for a given month?
2. Approximately how oodles patients will General Hospital have to guarantee for R Squared to form a monthly profit of $10,000?
3. Assuming that General Hospital can guarantee 125 patients per month, will R squared accept the contract?
4. If not, what can General Hospital or R Squared do to manage an agreement?
General Hospital has an inpatient volume of 482 per month and an outpatient volume of 836 per month. General Hospital receive money from three categories of payers - 30% are Cost Payers and income $1,800 per scan. 45% are Charge Payers and pay $1,200. The remainder are Fixed-price Payers who repay $1,500. Assuming variable and fixed costs are impossible to tell apart as the previous scenario:
5. Approximately how many patients will enjoy to be scanned for General Hospital to product a profit of $20,000 per month?
Answer:
1. Where n = number of patients
$1,900n = $1,200n + $90,000
$1,900n - $1,200n = $90,000
$700n = $90,000
n = $90,000/$700
n = 128.57
n = 129 (0 d.p.)
129 patients must be scanned to break even
2. Profit = Income - Expense
$10,000 = $1,900n - ($1,200n + $90,000)
$10,000 = $1,900n - $1,200n - $90,000
0 = $700n - $90,000 - $10,000
0 = $700n - $100,000
$700n = $100,000
n = $100,00 / $700
n = 142.86
n = 143
143 patients scan will make a profit of $10,000
3. No they would engender a loss.
Profit = ($1,900 x 125) - (($1,200 x 125) + $90,000)
Profit = $237,500 - ($150,000 + $90,000)
Profit = $237,500 - $240,000
Profit = -$2,500
Loss = $2,500
4. R Squared Would have to agree near General Hospital to charge a rate which would give them some profit but be beneath the community price. Or General hospital would have to guarantee a greater number of patients per month.
5.
Profit = Income - Expenditure
Income = ($1,800 x 0.30n) + ($1,200 x 0.45n) + ($1,500 x 0.25n)
Income = $540n + $540n + $375n
Income = $1,455n
Expenditure = $1,900n
Profit = Income - Expenditure
Profit = $1,455n - $1,900n
Profit = -$445n
Loss = $445n
General Hospital can not make a profit as its income is smaller quantity that their costs and will on average make a $445 loss on respectively patient.
Earthquake Insurance: Do I want it?
Question:
I live in So Cal and my home is worth 750K. That manner my deductible would be 112K. I don't live in a flood plain or implicit a river and my home was not built on compacted soil. It be built in 1968 on a raise foundation. It is not split level and there's no brick. Whatcha deem?
BTW, we are about 25 miles from Northridge and we suffered no overexploit as a result of the '94 Northridge Quake.
Answer:
No.
I've owned several homes in California and it almost never make sense to buy earthquake insurance. Everybody knows that nearby are earthquakes and to be precise an inevitability if you live there long adequate. However, so does the insurance company. So if earthquakes are so adjectives - why do 80% of all California homeownes shift without earthquake insurance?
Answer: Insurance premiums are beyond doubt enormous, coverage is controlled and the deductables are very dignified. For example, a typical deductable can be over US$250,000. Meanwhile, you are paying several thousand dollars a year in premiums. Here's the conundrum: the insurance will singular be worth it if your house takes huge amount of interfere with, but is not a total loss and it happens a bit soon. So, rather than cap your downside protection, you are taking the "inside straight" bet.
Here's a real world example. I owned a part in a four-story timber frame condo just about 10 miles from the San Mateo faultline. The condo was on landfill, but liquifaction risk be moderate. The USGA estimated a 10% chance of complete loss if in attendance was a catastrophic quake on the San Mateo procession. That fault column went once every thousand years or so. The cost of the condo be about US$749k. I looked into insurance, but it be a no-brainer. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I remember it was almost a 5 year payoff (assuming no quake). Remember, this is a timber frame place - which generally never hold catastrophic failure since they hold no steel or concrete supports - they just wobble within quakes and your dishes receive broken. It would only be worthwhile IF in attendance was a key quake next to my house, IF the quake concluded up completely destroying my place (more than just wounding it) and IF the quake actually happen within five years. The likelihood that this would happen is tiny, tiny, tiny. The probability of losing more money on 99% of all other outcomes be 100%.
Remember, Northridge just go recently (in geological terms), so your likelihood of a complete loss is tiny.
As I always read out, you can't insure away all the risks within your life - but you can sure as heck hold too much insurance.
I think you should attain legal support. Visit www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/yvett... . No one knows when it's going to be their turn.
Gotta explain to you, if I lived anywhere in Calfornia that could be artificial by the San Andreas fault, I'd hold Earthquake insurance, just within case.
At the really least, I'd find out how much insurance would cost monthly and would be making a similar pay to a special savings sketch just within case something does transpire.
Need? No. But it might be a good investment anyway. To the best of my education, most of California is close enough to a breakdown line that the undamaged state is at risk for earthquakes. Insurance is a risk - you may never inevitability it and then you're out doesn`t matter what you paid into it. But if nearby is an earthquake and you don't have insurance, you're out the entire cost of your home and everything surrounded by it. If you choose against insurance, I would suggest that you put at least segment of that cost into a savings commentary - sort of like your own insurance. Then you'll at tiniest have something to nose-dive back on.
I also second the personality earlier who suggested that you attain a legal evaluation. It can't hurt.

Has anyone of you ever tried one of those websites where on earth they vote they income you to whip surveys?
Question:
If so do they really pay you and how much or is it a fabrication. If they do pay you which website is the best.
Answer:
A gal chum of mine is house bound with MS and does these survey things adjectives the time. she tells me that in that about a dozen or so that are totally good, pay packet what they say, and tend to work for all right known outfits, Like the JD Powers group and such. Most of them put you into a sweep-stake or drawing for your pains, and sometimes have salaried surveys, she says she have earned roughly 2K in brass, about 2K within 'gifts' and never won any prize. But she doesn't really care. It give her something to do. That sums it up for me, not a career move me think! :)
edit: she reports this is earn stuff for about three years of doing these things.
I don't use those because one of my friends did and he never get his stuff.
They are garbage. Don't mess beside 'em. They use you just to catch all kind of information off you. Once you put your e-mail address within one of those, your inbox will be full of spam before the light of day is over. They are just another scam. I imagine there are 'real' one's out here, but I wouldn't get into it.
I enjoy been to a couple where on earth they do actually salary out but the surveys where they clear money are few and far between and the payouts aren't that much the most I've gotten is $25 for a tissue survey. Don't use any company where you enjoy to pay to bring part. Those are scam.
I tried them but none of them ever paid me, not even a penny.
It's adjectives a lie. Phishing. EIther to obtain your address to sell as a sucker or eventually to gain identity theft info. Millions enjoy done it. Nobody ever gets anything TRUE.
in my personal belief they are all a rip-off they include catch like you hve to do them surrounded by 3 seconds etc and other clauses so that you don't catch your money, the ones where they dispense you more time they will pay you silly money resembling 1p/1cents and even then trying to find them to send you the money is a nightmare they spawn you earn a certain amount surrounded by a certain time limitation and then sand you a check (do you really want to supply your bank details out?) anyway merely my opinion but i wouldn't.

Legitimate souk survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit member based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years antiquated -- and will send surveys of products and services target this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're distinctly not going to be rich with that. They can donate you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as various research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the providence to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

If a monopolist's marginal revenue is $3.00 and its marginal cost is $4.50, it will increase its profits by?
Question:
A)reducing output and raising price.
B)reducing both output and price.
C)increasing both price and output.
D)raising price while keeping output Unchanged
Answer:
Right presently, every unit you flog makes a loss of $1.50 (unless you typed your interview wrongly). If you cannot control cost but can control price, you should just put on a pedestal your selling price so that your marginal revenue exceeds $4.50. Assuming you raise it to $5, you create a marginal profit of $0.50. You can raise your selling price because you are a monopoly. So I would read out that any choice that allows you to raise your marginal revenue would be the right answer, i.e. (A), (C) or (D).
C) increasing both price and output
Answer is (a)
Optimum production plane is when Marginal Revenue equals to Marginal Cost.
When you reduce output, the souk price will increase.
You reduce output until the price = $4.50 on the Demand Curve.
At this point, MR = MC.
This one is A
They will fade supply, thus increase demand. = reducing output. Then they will lift up the price, which will offset their marginal costs. The cessation result is higher profit.
The other answers don't clear sense.
In B you can't reduce price to increase profit. Your edge will decrease.
In C, if you increase output, it will drop demand.
In D, it may effect consumers to switch to a subsititute product.
Your best option is A

Did ga trust financial grasp their narrative suppended?
Question:
my name is daniel morrison i be scammed by ga trust financial. i called the the alanta police but i go a step further. i contacted action 9 report and did a story. the bbb and action 9 did some research and found out that this company be a fraud. check out my story-- type action 9 report go to special report. scroll to the right and click on the box ga trust. i repeat ga trust financial website is shut down thankfulness for everybody support.
Answer:
Hello folks, looks like GA Trust's website is down as okay as Georgia Lending Group - same crooked folks operating the same crooked 'business'. I saw the Action 9 word piece as well as the Crimestopper's piece as in good health and I'm so glad this story has be made public and I hope that James Ford, Alec Buckley, Jason Clinton and all the folks aft this scam are found, arrested and ordered to pay stern all the deposits that they stole from us. I did speak next to Dectective Farner a couple of weeks ago and he said that they were making more arrests of the folks who we sent our Western Union deposits to and he told me to keep hold of in touch beside him. I got an email from the BBB on the subject of my complaint and it seems that the company never responded to any of the complaints they received. I devise they knew it would be a issue of time until they were reported. It simply really annoys me how this man, James Ford via email swore up and down to me that his company was legit. For someone to blatantly feign like that and later steal from is just beyond forgiving. I deliberate it's good that everyone keep in touch from time to time within case more word, arrests, info, etcs comes out about them. I would even be ready to fly to Atlanta to testify if I had to. I want to see James Ford wages for what he did and I know everyone else does too. I had to pilfer out a few payday loans to cover some bills and I'm getting back on track very soon but it's still very frustrating to hold someone steal your hard earn money like this. Peace to adjectives and I hope everyone is doing ok.
First of all I am sorry that they hit you too. Have you hear anything from the Atlanta Police? I have gone a few messages and am wondering if anyone has have a status report. I did see that GA's website has be suspended and that the BBB has some strange info on them. If you have any updated info please email me at sb_sullivan@yahoo.com. I also am working next to my local news to get hold of a story out there. There have to be a lot of us out here and maybe more nation will come forward if they see it on tv. Best of luck to you!

Question:
I've looked everywhere online and can't find a place to buy the stock from. The Co's website does not seem to allow direct buying from them. Yes, nearby are lots of ads offering the way out of buying with them for a payment - they often give the impression of being to have profoundly of "strings" attached (monthly fees etc.). It does not seem to be a company that allows for DRIP's (Direct Re-investing Programs). Let me know!
Answer:
Coach's stock is publicly programmed. You buy and sell stock through brokerages, which enjoy seats on the New York Stock Exchange (where Coach is listed).
You unseal an account near a brokerage (e.g. TDAmeritrade, E*Trade, Scott Trade, Schwab, etc.). You fund it with money. You consequently buy shares in Coach. It will cost you almost $10 for when you buy and $10 when you sell. There should be no other strings attached (no fees).
