I think it's become impersonal to the point of frustration. Do you remember when you used to name a utility company, bank, or doctor's department and reach a REAL being?
That nice, or not so nice depending on the day, secretary have been replaced by a robotic voice asking you to head off a message, hold for a representative who never seems to answer his phone, or dial a number to realize a host of equally frustrating options. Even worse, some are presently operating with voice nouns, making you want to bang your phone against the wall contained by frustration when the robot on the other end keep asking to to pick an option and fail to understand you shouting "ONE" into the phone over and over.
Amazingly, customer service be handled deeply better by real those in times gone by. What happened to us? Even though these places are handling our money, enjoy we become so insignificant as customers?

The answer to your question, although sorrowful but true, is yes, we have become insignificant as customers. To most companies the bottom flash is money. Computers are a lot more cost significant than a real individual. They don't have to pay envelope health insurance on a computer and the computer never get sick or needs time stale.
I can usually bypass those automated systems by pressing random numbers on my mobile. The computer thinks you're an idiot and transfers you to a material person. I don't use those automated systems if I enjoy a real cross-examine or problem. For those kind of things a legitimate person is other best.
I don't know the solution to this problem other than to suggest that corporations stop worrying so much just about the bottom line. That's not credible to happen when the company executives want $1 million dollar paychecks.

Heres a clue, when the demo starts, just maintain hitting 0, or * or #, at some point the computer is going to say I cannot pedal this call and distribute you to a person. I do this near the phone people and internet service relations, they seem to be the worst, and while I agree that India might be an English speaking country, they do not speak American, and although they hold been wonderful to concordat with, I sometimes expect we need a translator. And I am sure they discern the same.
