Cashiers check?

Question:
Does anyone know if a cashiers check expires? I have one from 2000 that I newly found.

Answers:
Read the front of the check carefully. If it have expired, it will say so. Look for something close to "this check is void after 180 days" or "blankness after 90 days" or something to that effect.
It is possible a cashiers check can expire. It depends on the bank that issues the check. If you find that have expired, I would attempt to go vertebrae to the issuing bank or financial institution to see if they would honor it. Hope you can change it and have a gathering!!

Calculating Net Present Value (NPV)?

Question:
I am able to produce the answer beside Excel but I want to know how the calculation works minus using Excel. I got the facts:

DIscount Rate: 9.00%

Year 0: $0.00
Year 1: 80,000.00
Year 2: 80,000.00
Year 3: 80,000.00

The NPV of benefits in year 0-3: 202,503.57

Excel formula would be =NPV(x%,year1,year2,year3,year...

as mentioned, how does the excel figure the information given above and produce 202,503.57 ?

Answers:
Net Present Value (NPV) is equal to the future change flows (CF) discounted at a risk-adjusted rate (r). In this case, near are three years of cash flows (CF1, CF2, CF3). They are discounted at 9%. NPV assumes that the returns compound geometrically, thus the first year would be discounted at 9% (1.09), the second year at 9% squared (1.09)^2 and so on. This is call "present value of money".

Mathematically, it is:

NPV = CF1/(1+r)^1 + CF2/(1+r)^2 + CF3/(1+r)^3
NPV = 80k/1.09 + 80k/1.1881 + 80k / 1.295029
NPV = 202503.57

The "what" surrounded by your question would be the resourcefully kept secrecy the Swiss bank do for their depositors. They do not report your account to any other country, nor answer question on them.

Besides the lack of public access, Swiss accounts are are numbered accounts, no name are associated with that tale.

Swiss accounts are identified by a number,
no cross or tax number. They are purely anonymous.
So, if you steal 100,000 $$$, and deposit within a Swiss acct, they'll never tell! And if you don't it'll be in that forever.
But don't stop at 100,000. Make it 10 million,and at 5% interest, that's 500.000 a year income, no matter where on earth you try to hide.
The accounts of our Senators and drug dealer. Off shore accounts protected by that government.
swiss guard does not ask anything when u open an article in it.
It ask u for no documents.
Any amount u can deposit or cancel at any time.
There is no control from any World Bank on this Bank.
I have a Swiss hill account. The big item about them is that within Switzerland they have a statute that if you have a hill account, NOBODY can get hold of any information about it except you. So if you steal a billion dollars surrounded by the US and take it to Switzerland and put it contained by a bank over within, The FBI can't start looking through bank accounts for the one that have a billion dollars deposited into it. Thats why.

Is this a scam? what do you guys devise.?

Question:
So I just get a call from some female (sounded like she be 50) and to make a long story short, she told me I won a $1000 shopping spree assuming I subscribe to four magazine of my choice at a rate of about $12 a month for the subsequent 5 years. Now considering the fact that these mags are adjectives ones that I enjoy and want, my merely real reservation around this so far is the fact that it is such a long commitment, regardless of how minimal the $$ impact is. My instant assumption regarding the give the name was that it be a scam. But even at the end of an long session of me asking every conceivable interview, I was competent to end the send for without divulging any personal info save for my age (as a matter of certainty, they already knew my address, term and obviously phone #; information they apparently gleaned from Visa). Anyway, I am certainly considering this as a possibility b/c they have not asked any info so far, but a bit already knew everything they needed. What am I missing, how can they still screw me?

Answers:
condidering that you hold to pay 12 dollars a month for 5 years, that add up to about 720 dollars total you return with to pay, i don't construe it's a good deal even if it a scam. Out of that 1000 dollars, you seize 280...that's not that good...anyways, i expect it is..who would call you, know your baptize and phone #, and address, and u not know who they were. That's suspicious. Are they asking you to take-home pay with your credit card? If they are, i conjecture it really is a scam. If not, i would see if they actually convey u anything.
By taking your money and not sending you the magazines or any form of shopping spree. Phone numbers and info such as you described is pretty smooth to get
I suppose I am a bit on the paranoid side - but identity pocketing is really big these days. Just be wary. In the long run, $1k isnt really worth the stress. (at least to me)
That shopping spree could be an online spree and probably is true you won the $1000, but the method they get you is you pay cheque for the shipping and all within all you are paying for the items you be told you won, b/c the shipping is just as much as the item you would recompense for @ a store...so basically it is a scam lacking telling you until you start calculation items to your cart and by the time you spend the $1000 you "won" your shipping cost is that $1000. Thats singular if the shopping spree is an online spree.
They can start sending you previews to other magazines that own a nice little note attached saw if you don't respond in 30 days later your as good as subscribed. And entry is most people forget to do so and get hold of another subscription to another magazine and don't realize it until they get the bill. And if you assume about to spend $12 a month for 5 yrs that $744 so thats practically a $1000. Good luck within whatever you choose to do.
