I may be making a conspiracy out of zilch, but last week here was a communication item about Royal Mail. Apparently very soon, if mail cannot be deliver, or the address label "drops" bad or similar, or things go missing surrounded by the system, then the parcels are open and the contents sold on Ebay, with the profits going to, yes you guessed it - Royal Mail!
So they can nick mail, open out it, sell the contents, and hang on to the money, even though its not theirs. How they are getting away with this is beyond me, if I did a similar article to peoples property it would be called appropriation.

I dont know which sorting office your e-mail will have gone to but it's most potential to have gone missing, its not adjectives that common for things to attain stolen.
