Ask for an itemized bill. They will not readily just afford this to you. You may need to ask several times, be persisitant. Once you own the itemized bill, you will find it difficult to sort through the charges. You need to phone call and ask for an appointment to go over your bill. Again, be persistant. Take a copy (not your original) to the prior arrangement and ask the hospital rep. to write explanations for each charge (in a average amount time) and return the bill to you with explanations for respectively line item. Don't expect them to shift over each row item during this meeting. There is a worthy chance you'll see some procession item charges removed or reduced when you receive the return bill with explanations.

Can't really put in much to what De said, except that it's always better to grasp a fixed rate if you can. They get you next to a low rate in the start of a floating rate, then they travel your rate up high and it's enormously hard to go and get them to come down.
A floating rate can vary hours of daylight by day a fix rate is fix for the Length of the contract or residence.
