.Explain the difference between a promissory write down, a strip of credit, and a revolving credit agreement?
Question:
Explain the difference between a promissory note, a queue of credit, and a revolving credit agreement? Are they mutually exclusive? That is, might one be part of the other?
Answers:
From the standpoint of the borrower, a promissory data is a debt obligation where on earth the full amount if borrowed at one point in time and the expenditure obligation and interest are set forth contained by the note itself. Usually it will be due at some adjectives maturity date, beside the note person able to be call during certain contingencies. You may or may not be capable of prepay it and it may or may not be secured (i.e., if you default, they may know how to have a priority interest within claiming secured assets or they may be pari passu with other unsecured creditors).
A procession of credit is an arrangement where a absolute maximum can be borrowed and you only discharge interest on the amount borrowed (its sort of like a credit card).
A revolver is a adaptation of a line of credit where on earth you pay a commitment payment on the maximum amount that may be borrowed and that otherwise is like a dash of credit. They are not mutually exclusive in the sense that a revolving credit agreement is a type of vein of credit. A promissory note is not a column of credit nor a revolver.
Often when banks lend to companies they'll put together a credit facility that will consist of a set of permanent status loans (so essentially, promissory notes -- set amounts borrowed up front at stated maturities) and a revolver.

Full price be $186.67
If the item is being tabled at $56.00 AFTER the 70% discount then the inspired price is as follows:
X(1 - .7) = $56.00
X - .7X = $56.00

Question:
Briefly explain the pros and cons of financial leverage. In other words, what are its benefits, and what are the costs that come along with those benefits?
Answers:
Leverage involves risks. If you borrow money to invest you might be capable of put down a small investment to control a large asset. On a personal rank this could be a home. Put down $10,000 and buy a home worth $200,000 if the home doubles in price surrounded by you would make a 200,000 profit on your $10,000. On the other foot if you paid change for the same house you would still profit $200,000 but the percentage wouldn't be as stunning.
You can do the same point in the stock flea market buy on margin instead of buying 100 shares for dosh put down the same money and buy 200 shares, you can gain or lose money twice as hurried. In the great depression people be using only 10% their own money within the stock market so when the price fell even for a moment it wiped out a broadsheet fortune and they couldn't cover their margin call, their financial lives were ruined.
Sub prime borrowers are doing that very soon the house price falls and they have no equity so when they have need of to sell they ruin their financial lives.
Leverage is intensely powerful both for good and desperate.
Can the conumer price index be used to build upon information collected contained by years historic?
Question:
I'm working on a report that talks something like money in 1987 dollars. Is it appropriate to input this amount into a consumer price inflation calculator? I'm using the NASA calculator found here http://cost.jsc.nasa.gov/inflatecpi.html... My boss said it would be okay. I in recent times wanted to ask the community if this is standard practice.
Answers:
Well, standard practice is to use CPI from the Department of Labor's BLS.
http://www.bls.gov/cpi/
This isn't to articulate that NASA isn't using these numbers. However, I don't know if they are using the same numbers. I would consider that they are. However, do you work for NASA, because I can't get that join to work (i.e. is that site hosted on your intranet?).
To talk more or less money in 1987 dollars, yes, you adjust for CPI. However, you obligation to know that CPI changed the basket of products and method of calculation within 1988. So are you going to use the 1987 basket for 1987 or the 1988 picnic basket? It's not going to make a big difference, but purely a heads up that this issue exists.

Richard I agree beside you, it does upset me that our government would occupy in trade near China as much as they do. I can understand that we requirement to do business with them but why does it hold to be so much that it creates the largest trade deficit in our history and at indistinguishable time puts so many of our own general public out of work. I wonder if the government would be predisposed to give some of our out of work and claiming benefit people the start up funds (grants) needed to start up new businesses that could produce some of the commodities we import from China, after adjectives they give millions away to general public who weren't even born in this country so they can start fast mart type stores. Hmmmm
Why is it desirable to construct property budgeting rules so that higher-risk projects decrease suitable?
Question:
Why is it desirable to construct capital budgeting rules so that higher-risk projects quieten down acceptable than lower-risk projects?
Answers:
It's base on the risk vs. return principle. You can use a Sharpe Ratio for this. It determines which investment is a better value for the amount returned. An example would be buying lottery tickets instead of expanding your business. Yes you might hit the lottery but you would be better stale marketing your business because the risk is much lower. Sure it might not pay past its sell-by date 85 million dollars but the two million you make should be more beneficial from a risk reward point of belief. Yes that is an extreme example but it get to the point.

3.There is said to be a controversy over dividends. What is it, and why is it noteworthy?
Question:
Answers:
There is a controversy over dividends because there are alternatives that may or may not be better.
Dividends, the brass payment to shareholders, is a taxable event. It give capital stern to shareholders net of duty. This contrasts to sharebuy backs, which also return means back to shareholders - but tax-free. In this skin, when shares are bought back, existing shareholders earn a pro-rata larger amount of the company. The counter-argument to share-buybacks is that, while it is more import tax efficient, it may not be at a dutiful price.
The second controversy over dividends is the "signalling effect". When companies pay out dividends, they are implicitly signalling that they cannot find any projects that return their cost of income and are therefore returning income to sharholders. This is seen as a psychologically denial sign and can put downward pressure on a stock.
Are you asking what dividends are? If so its your quarterly pay backbone for owning shares of stocks in any unique company that actually pays dividends.

Infact, our very existance is against the rules. That technique we obviously cant copywrite our signature. The first one to register a trademark get exclusive use of it within that nouns of business--thus the famous settlement that allowed Apple Computers to use their heading as long as they stayed out of the business of recorded music and why it be a big deal when they started iTunes up.

Presidential Dollar Coins, who uses them and how habitually?
Question:
I tend to spend them when I can, but that isn't too often. I trade almost an entire roll when a brand new coin in the series is released.
I'm only just curious as to how popular these are, how many fan of the dollar coin are out there? Have you gotten any strange reaction or weird looks from those when using them? If so has that stopped you from using them?
Answers:
In this country I spent them repeatedly and have never have a problem spending $1 coins, but I have have problems spending them in other countries. In several countries of the world US paper money circulates alongside the local currency properly and unofficially, but they rarely see US dollar coins and muse that they are no good. Last year In Istanbul, They didn't trust them because their own currency have been remonitized and they thought the dollar coins have similarly been demonitized and be worth about 1 cent. When I hiked up Kilimanjaro within Tanzania I gave adjectives the porters gifts that included Sacajawea Dollars in incorporation to Franklin Half dollars and the normal US dissertation money. They obviously official them as gifts, but had strance looks on their face. I wonder what the individuals bartered them for.
I really wallow in buying things with 3 or more countries' currency to see the actual exchange rates. In addition to Africa and Asia, I enjoy also done this a few times in sundry countries of Central America.
