I am a receptionist and do a employment share with another female, I only gain 20 hrs. a week and she gets 25 and she make more then I do (granted she have been here for approaching 12 yrs). I am only making $8 and simply recently picked up lots of extra job. They said they were feeling like to give me 8 extra hrs a week which help but since I am doing all of this extra work should I get hold of paid more? I originally be asked to switch to a full time position when another lady not here but then they changed their mind and hired somebody else when she quit, so they told me that I could be her full-time vertebrae up, and also whatever else anybody wishes. If you have any question please ask and I will add. I really presume I should be getting more than $8/hr especially since min. wage is going up to $7.25/hr! What do you think?

you are part of a set time and until you are full time you will not be taken very serious no issue your argument. Although beased of the facts you gave, i agree it may be time to evaluate a tilt. What i suggest is to be honest with your employer and permit them know how you feel just about the situation. I have other been honest and see significant pay raise and a heightened level of trust because they know i will shoot straight near them. If you do not plan to work for this company long term i would look into other alternatives and see if any other companies will contest your personal worth. just dont forget that within is more to pay raise than just time alone - you involve to be a stand out employee to be taken seriously for any giving of promotion. If you clock in and out only just like everyone else, why would they make available you a raise? Do something to ensnare their attention, speak your mind and always be professional. Also NEVER homily to anyone in the department about man disgruntled - your worst nightmare might be that that person become your boss one day. angelic luck.

When he passed on, at hand was no collection, no flowers, no card not even a phone phone call. Where my brother works, a potted plant was sent to the funeral home from his organization. It only have a calling card that said "From <company he works for> Staff, nothing more. I guess folks are not as sympathetic towards an employees loss similar to they use to be. That's too bad. People are turning unfeeling.
That's pretty sad and cold hearted. At my former employer they would post where on earth the services are being held and if near is a charity that donations could be sent to. The company would send flowers or donation. The team would take up a collection and distribute it to the surviving spouse or family applicant with a sympathy card.
Thats dismal if your employer and employees do not distribute any condolence to the family. Work is resembling your second family away from home, at tiniest that is the bearing we felt at my former work place.
